Bye week coming up, teams don't seem to play well after that. There's also that tough schedule in March. They are an injury away from a top 7 pick. Relax gentleman. - VanHockeyGuy
I think the Bye week would actually do this team some good. They seem tired from time to time, a lot of younger players not used to the heavy schedule. |

I just couldn't cheer for the Canucks to lose to the Flames last night. Too much pride at stake .
I don't really care if we squeak into the playoffs or finish in 23 rd.
I will be happy if we win a lottery pick of course but don't mind if we get a Tolvanen at 8 th or a Hague Popoguyev or Yamamoto at 15-20 th .
We will get a good player ( better than what we have now regardless of who we get. ) So I will sit back the rest of the year and cheer for the Canucks.
It seems like teams like the Flames Yotes Avs Leafs Jets Panthers Stars and others who have had a lot of top 10 picks are not doing much better than us. |

Tough spot to be in, the 11 to 14 hole, they're shooting themselves in the foot and prolonging their mediocrity by doing this. They may get lucky and pull a kid out of the middle of the draft, however, their odds are better near the top.
Hopefully they trade Miller, Burrows and Hansen and the TDL. |

If they win tonight, I could see JB and company getting excited and standing pat. |

I don't buy that theory at all.
If we drafted Ramuessen at 5 th it is no different than drafting a Popoguyev at 16 they both bring the same type of game and you can also include Ratcliffe at about 35.
Drafting Tolvanen at 7 th or Yamamoto at 20 th same type player.
There is no way we can finish bottom two and there is a log jam at 28 th and will probably be won by Vegas anyways.
We will get a good player regardless of where we finish
Our chances of a lotto pick are slim to none and none left town , so why not sit back relax and enjoy the next 21 games. |

With the Game Markstrom had the other night and the month that Miller had I don't see them sending Miller anywhere. Makstrom moved in the summer.

I get that.
I see it as I get to see my team four more games . Shorter summer.
I see it as 4 games of exciting hockey and hey maybe even 5 or 6 .
Others see it as 4 and out.
Lefty sees it as drafting the number 5.
I see it as his clone is available at number 20 |

The mediocrity will go when the Sedins go. Then we will either be really bad or we will find better replacements |

I see it as 4 games of getting a first hand look at what a real playoff team looks like. Similar to the Pitts game last week. I'll pass thanks. |

It is an argument I can not win, but I enjoy watching them play and the more games the better IMO. |

They had Sutter and Horvat all year and still managed to be in position for a bottom 5 finish. They miss one game and then come back and you believe there going to piggy back the team to a playoff spot? Nah the team still sucks...and will end up in the bottom 5 where they bel9ng at seasons end. - Bullfrog77
Never did I say PO spot. I said at the beginning of the year were were going to be somewhere finishing 18th to 25th overall and that's exactly where we are headed. If Horvat and Sutter were out for the rest of the year we would be bottom 5 for sure…still might but doubtful if we are healthier. |

Ya stats are showing teams coming off the bye are averaging 4 wins out of the following 9 games…

Would have to agree with this a bit. As much as I appreciate the Sedins contributions here they are basically 40-45 pt players now and we can get that easily at half the price or less. Hopefully Boeser here next year on the PP with Horvat and Juolevi takes strides forward at camp. I'm not a Miller fan but I must admit signing him for a year or two looks to be a must until Demko can get some games up here. Marky just isn't gonna be the guy sadly. |

I don't think so. I think JB will talk to some players, but will go with the "the offer's were not good enough" approach. JB has a man crush on Miller, Burrow's is the "glue" for their playoff push. That said, I don't expect anything at the TDL. |

Miller has earned that man crush
I think it will be quiet too. I don't think there will be a lot of movement league wide.
Smaller type trades mostly.
Hansen and Burrows are good candidates to be moved. |

I do think next year we are a bottom team. With Hansen gone and The twins a year older and slower is going to give us that top line center with the first overall pick. |
