if wd said that bo needed to concentrate on his defensive game b/c the offense would take care of itself, wouldn't this season vindicate those thoughts?

I really liked how everyone came to Stetchers defense the other night as he is getting pummeled by the goalie as his 'teammates' watch. They are missing Gubranson & Dorsett. I will be happy when this BS 'don't retaliate' mantra is gone.

I am only saying that Willy has done some good that people who do nothing but whine about him fail to acknowledge. I agree with your comment that WD isnt going anywhere for a couple reasons.

The first is this article I found from the beginning of the year, which Benning speaks of his work ethic and competitiveness. Also they highlight his bachelors in education and masters degree in social work, which obviously says something about his ability to teach and to connect with the players. Bo speaks highly of him, which I think is more telling than the usual Sedin love. http://news.nationalpost....ks-back-into-the-playoffs

The second reason is that every GM gets one coach to fire without some levels of success. GM's that go through multiple coaches experience success for a while, the Canucks havent had that yet, so unless the mandate comes from above Linden/Benning, I cant see them burning their one lifeline just yet

You can believe Bo's deployments are all positive. I only questioned WD's vision of him type comment. He seemed to have Bo as a defensive only player. Through sheer determination Bo has emerged as the leading scorer. Was that Bo or WD? Think about how he was deployed and when. That's all.
