Was talking with a coworker and we realized that we see a lot of similarities between Doan and Virtanen in terms of development.
Not saying he will be like Doan, but worth holding on to to see.

Lots of guys take a couple years to develop, Bert is another example. I see him as still having a pretty high ceiling, hoping the rug is out from under him and he starts to really put in the work.

A lot of us think we're just stop-gaping until Demko cracks the lineup. I think we will pickup a UFA goalie, but trading for one is more Calgary's speed I think. You guys are a little further along and that d-corps isn't getting any younger.

Well I know personally I've never hated on Miller. And I agree he's a better goaltender than Elliott, this year anyways.

I also know the Canucks don't do the tanking philosophy, which is why I respect them.

Nobody wants a guy to take that long, just saying some do. I'm hoping he starts the year in the AHL next year and forces/earns his way into the lineup with his play. If not, another year wont hurt, got to play the long game.
