Win or lose, shut out or blow out, there will be a group of people ranting about WD starting Miller after the game.
WD playing to keep his job. It's never been clearer... unless they are showcasing him... long shot there. Maybe we hear about scouts later.
Can't believe were are going to go through a 3rd week of no hockey for the Canucks. We started the season with a week off, then the extra couple of days tacked onto our allstar break, then the bye... |

Leigh Valley Phantons laid a beating on the Comets today 7-4
JV with another point. 5-6-11 in 40 now.
Trade Burrows and Hansen and call up Grenier.
Gaunce took shifts playing with Sutter and Hansen yesterday and had chances. Even Botch in his article said something about getting Gaunce some better players to play with. - manvanfan
I think Gaunce has improved quite a bit since the allstar break. Seems to be getting quicker on the pucks and generating some chances. Better players will help him. Not so sure if it makes a difference though.

JV for lazar? N0ooo00o0oo00o0o way - canucksfan1944
This would be beyond stupid. just for the fact that JV is expansion exempt and Lazar is not. |

But Lazar has a cool last name so it all kinda evens out. |

Had my doubts about Stecher, but has shown some real good progress on the defensive side over the past 10 games that I have watched.
Good positioning, battling in corners, tying up stick and his hustle back after turnovers/change of possession have all improved. |

I don't know. Willie hasn't given Marky a chance. I'd be fine w Marky as the starter next year as long as he has a veteran backup. It doesn't matter. We won't be a good team for a long time - CanuckDon
I agree. You need to play to be sharp. Usually if marky hasnt played awhile he gets rusty and his next game is sharp.
Remember all those games he played last season when miller was out and he played well.
BUt I also have to wonder this, miller is better this season, marky isnt. How do you account for it? Perhaps the answer is cloutier. Goalies tend to do better or worse with different goalie coaches who adjust their game. If this is the case its either the wrong guy for marky or may take awhile to adjust his game to cloutiers instructions. |

Those Sedins are brutal - VANTEL
Their biggest problem is that they have not been able to adapt to the new NHL. Same old story and it rarely works now. The only way they will remain effective players is if separated. |

Nobody wants a guy to take that long, just saying some do. I'm hoping he starts the year in the AHL next year and forces/earns his way into the lineup with his play. If not, another year wont hurt, got to play the long game. - neem55
Probably a couple AHL yrs like Anthony Mantha

I've taken note of that myself. Nice to see. Often a rookie out of college is going the other way late in the season.

ya probably... miller benefited from cloutier while marky seems off his game this year. It might be why
But without the game play can we really know. Markstrom usually gets rusts riding the bench |

It's a topic of who should start. WD goes with his safe move. You know the vet who was hot. It's not necessarily the smart move on how things will go. But it's his call. Nucks are down by a few goals. That's how it goes you know. This bye will be great time for trades to be made and reset for ending the season. Plus mending some of the wounded Nucks. |
