He's exactly why teams stay away from Russians high in the draft. At one point he was predicted to go like 3rd after Yak and Galchenyuk then he "fell" to the Sabres at 12, and now he's a guy, albeit a solid one, in the bottom half of your roster. What's his effort like? He seemed in over his head here so it lacked quite a bit at times.
