I remember Sopel packed on the muscle one off season, looked huge.
Big mistake. He was slow as poop.
But hey, if it can happen to Sopes, it can happen to anyone.
Live and learn. - dbot
Oh, I agree but Sopel wasn't training here under the supervision of the team.
I do remember that though, they told him to get bigger\stronger and he came to camp looking like a beast LOL |

This is a really good point if true, I mean it was a bad call no matter who made it but cant hate on JV if management laid out a plan for him to put on pounds. |

Statistically, this is simply false. Bad at D, makes linemates worse. This is my last Dorsett bash guys, I swear! - neem55
Dorsett is garbage for 2.65 million, he scares no one and gets his ass handed to him against anyone that can actually fight. Good guy but he's overpaid just like the Sedins are. |

Not Dorsett. He's the grit. Gaunce is the defence. Patrick makes others better. Lol sorry should have worded it better. |

He can resign if he wants.
I'd like to see him go to Utica and play for half a year 1st.
Not convinced there is a roster spot for him..a soft, perimeter player that is injury prone and unproven. |

ah the elephant in the room. As we all know, they got underpaid for years. I truly am into a post e-draft trade where we keep half of their salaries. I know a lot of people hate this idea.
I'd love to see them win, really think they deserve it.
Is the team ready to move on, it's debatable. Can Bo really take the mantle, should we wait one more year?
Naslund left the team and resigned somewhere else, we got nothing in return. Huge mistake IMO. If they aren't ready to retire and the Canucks don't offer them a contract... just saying. |

you're not alone.
i'm sure we've all got a least favorite canuck for one reason or another.
i'll start.
My name is Dbot.

It's true, on a line with a couple kids that can play it's not awful to have a vet that will stick up for them. I'll give you that. |

I'd like to see that too. Let him learn the NA game at the AHL first, he and JV could develop some chemistry maybe. |

No way do i think Bo is ready to be a 1C and play against top competition every night.
Sedin's do that consistently, they don't produce anymore, but they still play those tough minutes.
i'd like to see them traded at next year's TDL.
i'm sure that will be the most talked about topic this time next year. |

This is true. But last year he played against that type of competititon and survived to become a better player this year. Nobody on the Canucks faced tougher competition last year than Bo, which is why he got burned. Bad. Sutter was out. Henrik plays against the shutdown line, not against the top line. In fact, WD avoids that like the plague cause they can't handle it. Bo and Sutter are that load this year. Bo is already one of the best FO guy in the NHL out of top-6 guys. On top of that, he really is holding his own now that he's so much faster. Maybe they get JV that skating coach
I'm honestly not sure either, but just for argument sake. |

If you could sneak him down during that preseason time, i'd wager a guess that he would clear.
Lots of ?????? with him. |
