The scoreboard didn't help the Canucks last night, they better bring their work boots for that playoff push. |

I will admit, a playoff push won't happen. Time to sell off some expiring contracts. Take back a bad contract or 2. |

The teams that take on bad contracts are near the cap floor . We are no where close to that. |

The idea of taking back a bad contract may work elsewhere, but I can't see how it works for us unless it is also an expiring contract.
We have cap room this year due to LTIR but next season we will more than likely be up against it. Several million comes off the books, but it will be used up on re-signing of RFA's. |

Good read.
I am big fan of Ratcliffe, but I like that kid at the end of article Matthieu Charlebois. He sounds like the type of player we could use on this team.
Had never heard of him, maybe a late round steal. |

Didn't help? Lmao. It was exactly what was needed. Maybe our delirious GM and Management as well as fans like you finally realize what some of us have been saying since last year, losses are better than wins. |

17 mill cap space 14 signed. Only Bo and tree will get raises. Will probably eat up 7 million. Guds can replace Sbisa. 8 million 7 players. Add in losing 3.6 for Sbisa or 2.5 for Hansen. |

Oh okay good. Sorry don't know everyone's personal viewpoint. There are still some here that felt the Canucks could make the playoffs. |

Miller to California don't care what team
Burrows to MTL for a 3rd.
Hansen to WPG or PIT for a 2nd
Edler to PHI or CAR for a 2nd
Tanev to whoever for a 1st...or two 2nds.
Time to make this sh*t happen JB! |

If Bo and Tryamkin get 7 million as you suggest that would be 10 million remaining. At least 3.5 for Gudbrandson, assuming he doesn't get a raise as you indicate, leaves 6.5 with 6 players to fill in roster. A back up goalie 700k, any RFA signing automatically gets qualified with a raise, so we are left with a million give or take.
Sbisa or Hansen gets claimed but still need to be replaced in the line up. So 1.5, leaving 2 maybe 3 million in cap space. Not a lot of room. You would be hoping for an injury free season.

These are much more reasonable returns than what I have seen in the last couple days by some posters.
I would say Miller fetches a 3rd/4th at best due to shortlist
Burrows to MTL seems like the most probably option, would be happy with a 4th.
Hansen gets maybe a 2nd and a prospect
Edler is not going to move because he doesn't want to
Tanev I don't think will get moved either. |
