So we agree, Laine value is high and should be moved.
The irony of you talking about one guy like you want to have his kids, and the player who is on a similar scoring pace and plays for the sabres you want traded. Hall got Larsson, good luck moving Kane for something more or as valuable as Kane. - Mentalorgasm5
I don't understand why we're comparing Evander Kane to a player like Laine? I gave My reasonings why we should trade Kane we need defense help we still have to sign Sam , jack and I don't think he's worth the contract he's going to receive |

Wayne Simmons, Lucic, James Neal, David Clarkson
Pick random people out of the Hat come on lottery - GERBE!!!75PTS
Wrong
Simmonds is doing it this year and did it last year. I can't believe how bad the rest of the flyers are... And I'm surprised Gudas has so few PIMs. Only 59 to Simmonds 86.
Clarkson did it by 1 goal and it wasn't the season you're thinking when he scored 30, it was in the last lockout season where he scored 15.
So Simmonds did it once and will probably do it again. And Clarkson did it in an only 48 game season. Pick some more names out of a hat. |

He can try..but nobody will full market value for Kane. Besides...he has 18 months to slap a woman, get in a bar fight ...take a stupid selfie...think about it. - Larsson_fan
This is also another major worry we reward him and all hell breaks loose |

Murray knew all that when he traded for Kane
Pretty sure he planned to re-sign him all along |

I mean if he was the next Julio Jones he would probably be the second overall pick
And to be honest I don't think there ever be another Julio Jones just like there will never be another Gronkowski or a Tom Brady it just doesn't happen - GERBE!!!75PTS
Julio wasn't the first WR picked in his draft class.
Enough said |

you say he's not going to get 7 million but why would he take less? Right now he's worth 6-6.5 correct? That means he could get 7 million on the open market you don't think he would try that out - GERBE!!!75PTS
If he keeps tearing it up he might get a deal comparable to Okposo which was pretty sweet. Long term deals make the cap hit less. The Sabres might have an advantage in being able to keep him with the Pegula's money by being able to front load a large part of the contract. That is something some teams can't or won't do. |

I actually think he wont get a huge pay day. He may have settled down lately and has been Hella productive...but hes not likeable or trusted as a citizen league wide. His best offer will come out of Buffalo. |

One's been in the league for 8 years one 30 goal season , and never has hit past 60 points
and a free agent next year ( pay day)
Other a rookie that's more than likely going to hit 45-50 goals and already passed Kanes career high total in points.. - GERBE!!!75PTS
Well it's a good thing we don't have to pay him this year then. And what if he does it next year? 2 fluke years in a row? When does it become a pattern? |

Paranoia and love of tanking is going to age you. Yeah, many of us understand and have seen more seasons and players than you Kane is not Stafford and he won't get 7 mil but let TM worry about that. The Sabres do have a rich owner they can stick Moulson in Rochester if they have to and free up cap space if they absolutely have to. Don't you worry the cap can be worked out. - GilPerreault11

You're misunderstanding what I'm saying if he is Julio Jones then he would be pick second overall with all the success Julio Jones has had |

And I believe trading away talented top end talent for mid range D help is the way to remain mediocre. |

I honestly wasn't even thinking of the Flyers because they always have some douche bag that runs around and gets a ton of PIMs like Rinaldo or Gudas. And the Bruins had Thornton(Shawn) who racked up the PIMs so I knew it wasn't Lucic, although it was really close, I think he was only like 3 PIMs short.

Yeah, but it's not like some schlub went ahead of Julio. It was AJ Green. And Julio still went 6th overall. |

They changed it a couple years ago so that players wouldn't get buried any more & so that teams would be held accountable for giving out bad contracts |

Gotcha, well I will be really, really surprised if LV takes Moulson. I just don't see why they would so the Sabres are stuck with him for what, one more year after next? There is going to be a lot of cash off the books when Eichel, Sam and hopefully Kane get their new deals. Moulson will be done after next year I think, that should be 5 years, Gionta 3.5 mil, Ennis 4+ mil; Gorges 3 mil or so will be gone, Franson's 2 mil. That's 17-18 million right there and I'm sure I'm missing a big contract somewhere along with some buyout money has to be coming off the books sooner or later. |
