Pysyk got the primary assist on the game winner with 4 seconds left last night. I don't know....I think he's probably better than Kulikov at this point.

Without debating whether Pysyk is better than Kulikov at this point (which I think is a fair subject for debate) I still think the trade was the right thing to do at the time, even ignoring the Asplund aspect.

I think Kulikov's potential, at the time, was higher than Pysyk's, at the time.

Move EK9 now. His stock has never been higher since joining this organization. He's played well enough that he could walk after next season

I'm sure he is too. I think he expected a lot better play out of Kulikov and Bogo in particular.

We need better d-men, but not at the expense of trading what little Grade A prospects we have.

Not saying Kulikov is good OR better...but that primary assist was an easy D to D pass. Also I happened to watch that game and he looked very soft in his own end. Good passing, but still has the same issues as he did there.

All 100% fair points especially the schopp one.
It was a few interviews ago but you could hear it in GMTM voice talking about kuilkov and how he was very hurt and was playing hurt and how he cant even evaluate the player to resign or not. Basically just said it's been a disaster since day 1

I 100% agree. I expected a lot more from this defense. If back in October you told me Kulikov, Gorges, Bogo and Franson would have had 26 points, with only Franson playing 45+ games, I'd be appalled. Risto can't play 30+ minuets forever.
