If the bills fired rex Ryan disco will be gone - GERBE!!!75PTS
Rex Ryan was brought in when the GM, owner, and fans believed they were one or two moves away from the playoffs. He was a failure as a coach. I also believe he drove a dodge truck which makes him a failure as a man.
Disco was brought in when the team had started the build portion of their re-build. I would think he has a longer leash. I agree that he will likely fail eventually I just don't think he is going anywhere right now. Maybe mid-season next year if we blow again.
It would be an embarrassment if we fired him in the off season, especially considering we would probably be hiring someone considered worse or less established.

So we agree, Laine value is high and should be moved.
The irony of you talking about one guy like you want to have his kids, and the player who is on a similar scoring pace and plays for the sabres you want traded. Hall got Larsson, good luck moving Kane for something more or as valuable as Kane. - Mentalorgasm5
Oh, this is happening again.

And I believe trading away talented top end talent for mid range D help is the way to remain mediocre. - GilPerreault11
Top end talent. Years worth of mediocre results.
Basis all of this on a 36 game stretch
Didn't you call the younger generation "reactionary"? |

McKenzie says Ben Hutton is on the table for a Forward similar age.
I would look at Kane for Hutton and a cap dump. |

I agree with your post but you gotta remember Jack eichel is going to have all the say in this he's basically the Crosby of the organization he will most likely get his way |

Greg Pateryn is available.
He would be a good fit for a 3rd pair.
Big Physical and cheap.
Probably would cost a 5-7 rd pick or a Prospect of similar age, ability (Low end) |

Glad you brought this up..buddy and i were talking about it yesterday.
Did that trade ruin the trade market for D?
No shots at larsson but would the oilers be in a worse spot with hall and a healthy mcdavid??
Everytime a rumor comes up it's well hall was needed to get larsson |

I don't think so certain general managers fall in love with players for odd reasons I believe there's probably a gm out there that might feel that way about Kane |

No but Laine is a budding star in his first year in the league.
He holds more value than Kane.
For me it is very difficult to judge Kanes value.
One of those, more valuable to buffalo than on the Market type deals. |

I remember the Canucks called the LA Kings first about Kyle Clifford for Cody Hodgson
LA Kings said no
Like I said certain general managers have weird attractions to certain players |

Trade Moulson and a 2nd retaining 1/2 of his contract to Vegas for future considerations with the stipulation that they take Ennis in the draft. |

Agreed, kinda like ron francis and cam ward
Also, anyone else want nothing to do with Shattenkirk (contract wise)?
Offensive numbers are there but 6.5+ a year for over 5+ years could be dangerous. You hear a lot of people say outside the PP he's a #4 d man |

I don't think he's a fit here but Bogosian isn't THAT bad. He's still a younger top 4(kinda maybe a little) defenseman that is physical. There's gms out there that value that.
Plus Mcphee is the guy who traded Forsberg for Erat so that's a plus - chilliard77
