The Kane issue is simple. Unless a team makes us an offer GMTM can't refuse....he stays here, we do what we can to resign him, and keep him on Jacks wing for the next few years.

Look what Kane has done now that he is healthy and playing on the wing with an almost healthy Jack. He's a beast!

The notion that we HAVE to sell Kane to a contender (or at all) seems to be the opinion of the rest of the fans and pundits around the league....and unless they want to meet the high asking price...they can frig off.

Which I don't think they will.

I get why Kane is linked to the bolded.

Move value for value kind of thing.

But for Murray to make this team legit he needs to find a way to improve the blue line without moving high end offense unless of course Murray thinks both Bailey and Baptiste are going to play in the top 6 next year.

This is where I agree that Murray moved a ton of assets early in the rebuild that I am sure he is kicking himself a little bit even though Kane, O'Reilly, and Lehner are all proving to be good to great players for them.

Risto Player X
McCabe Player Y
Bogo Guhle
Falk

Player Y could be an early 30's type veteran that can be a 4 guy that can move down to the 3rd pairing when Guhle is ready.

The hard part of course is finding that top pairing guy with Risto.
