We had a few kids on the top line produce in the past ..Kennedy, Ennis, ..

He had a lot of back issues. Not making an excuse but he couldn't keep up with the NHL game. AHL he would be making like 30k a year. Youth Hockey program with an NHL org? Much more money in that.

If I ran a Hockey team, first thing I'm looking at in a player is whether his face is punch-able.

McDavid, Eichel, etc... these guys are safe.

But Matthews has an incredibly punchable face. I might have picked Laine over him in that draft were I a GM. And the results speak for themselves. I'd have a guy who's scoring more with a less punchable face. Win win.
