But it all had to do how he was a bust and is destined to be an ECHLer...

Is his success fleeting? His track-record would suggest so. In that case, I say you do trade him high, as you reasonably expect his production to drop back down to 'not worth it' status.

I personally don't like Kane - I think the hype was undeserved. If you can take his value now and roll it into 1 or 2 players that can add something long-term, seems like a smart move to me?

I wouldn't touch an extension this year. If he plays this way through next year, than it can't be ignored. Facts are facts. He had 98 total points these last 3 years leading up to this one. That's a large sample size of injuries and inconsistencies.

i'd say keep an eye on how he jack and sam work the ice...if you're seeing chemistry between kane and ECHL, that's a good sign that he may be able to sustain a similar pace

He's playing lights out right now, 0 debate about that. But I think people need to slow down on thinking he just decided to be an elite caliber goal scorer.

He will probably continue being a 20-25 goal guy who is great to have on the roster, but might not be worth a big investment
