9.1d says to refer to 9.2 to determine age, which says calendar year, not "league year". Just click on that Canuck Army link, they broke it out - WhiteLie
Yes but the date to turn 20 is set at after Sept. 16. So it's an automatic extension of ELC for a 18/19 year old who signed and played less then 10 games prior to September 16 control date, |

No. Just have been busy and not watching the standings. Just wondering if you are in Black Friday mode or still waiting to see what happens. |

too many factors flying around to come up with a concrete plan.
I hope they move some bodies.
i hope we get some picks/prospects back.
i look forward to watching how things play out.
it's a good time to be a fan, hard time to be an armchair GM. - dbot

It's clear enough. I can summarize to apply to his situation if he signs this March.
If BB plays less then 10 games and doesn't turn 20 by September 16, 2017 his ELC will automatically extend one year. So no burning of 3 year ELC. Let's see if he signs. - Nuck4U
That is my take when applied to a 'Season Year' |

Time to move out the vets if a solid deal is to be had.
Burrows as a UFA is an obvious trade IMO.
Others can be in the offseason no probs if GM's offer up garbage.
Edit: i use the term solid loosely btw |

was just reading about him in Elliot's 30 thoughts. Intriguing possibility.
Annoyed by the snub of Henrik in his opening piece about players that hit the 1k milestone this year tho. |

You don't need to go there. It's not about the season year. It's in the calander year. The control date is September 16 for 9.1(d)(i). That's all. If still 19 by Sept 16 with less then 10 games then ELC is automatically extended one year.
There is also the clause allowing for mutual agreement if you turn 20 after the control date. You guys got sidetracked about calendar year versus Professional (NHL/minor league) season year. The control date was the deciding factor on ELC extension for the 19 year old.
Anyway, you got Codes and Whitelie on the facts and logic. It seems, BB won't burn a year of his ELC if he plays less then 10 games for Nucks this season. |

I believe they have the option of putting him in the AHL as well, so if there is more than 9 or 10 (whichever is the minimum) games left he could play for the comets or will likely be a healthy scratch. Either way, you can be sure JB would not burn a year in that fashion. |

Bueno.
i'd bring him up regardless, but that's nice to know.
JV would also be recalled after we offloaded 5-6 wingers in my fantasy scenario, but i know that's not a popular opinion. |

Yes correct. I included in the post as professional games adding minor league in parentheses. The maximum is 10 pro games played for BB so he could do it all on the Comets or Nucks or combination of both. I don't see either team having more games left in their seasons even combined when the NCAA season is over for BB in March. |

Like Yagr he may be too slow now to have any trade value especially for a contender. |

No offense to all the parties involved but it doesn't really matter as UND has an automatic invite to the qualifiers if the frozen 4 tourney. It starts on March 18. Semi's which they will likely qualify for is on April 6. Canucks last regular season game is the 9th.
Very little chance Boeser has an opportunity to play pro this year from what I can see. |
