The tanking issue only can happen when no NMC's r on the books.
Its all a dream til then & currently its moot.
While the Sedins r here nothing much will happen as we all know.

- Nighthawk

Ya but they are slowing down at such high rate that they might help with the tank

For all those who dont want to tank(I know your not one of them).. You aint getting a player like that 99% of the time outside the top 5.
- mauryballstein

No need to"tank" we are just ending up in the bottom 5 of standings without having to work hard at it like a.certain other Canadian team.

Im pretty sure you cant find a single person who wants to loose hansen.. the problem is someone needs to go, our team is terrible, resigning hansen wont happen because he will want huge money so get something for him before he plays 20 useless games this year or we keep him and he plays an additional 80 useless games and walks as a ufa
- mauryballstein

All true but u cannot force Hansen or all those players onto other teams.
Every team is finding it difficult to make any trade atm:

Hartford Whalers

Serious or joke? you forgot the " " if so. With a list like that he could still be traded. QN = Colorado, Stars = Dallas, etc. Just need to get creative as a GM. Player gives a bs list of teams that don't exist, trade him to the team they moved to.

EDIT: With a list like that, I would put him on waivers as a big FU

clouts shouldn't come back... for his own sake (and i'm serious.)

he literally had break downs due to the threads.

this place is fun (and vicious). his mental health is more important than that.

*i'm not being facetious or sarcastic. he actually sent me pm's (odd b/c i was never really on that thread but he pm'd lots of people) in tears complaining about the treatment he would receive. he would quit the site every couple of weeks and had health issues due to the stress. as i said, this place is not worth it for him.

those truly were the golden years. This site was troll central.

Something just crossed my mind...

On coaches reviews i suggest 1 of 2 options if they lose the challenge:
1) loss of the TO & a defensive zone FO & no line change or
2) take a 2min delay of game penalty.

The current lose only a TO is no deterrent from a delaying the game situation when a penalty from losing a stick measurement challenge is 2mins. Make coaches accountable if wrong IMO.

i like the delay of game penalty idea. good deterrent.
but i kind of hate the coach's challenge anyways.
especially when it gets called back from a minimal offside.

i'd like to get rid of it, except for something like goaltender interference only.

I'd like to expand the review process and make every potential goal potentially reviewable by the NHL. There's been a lot of goals that should have counted but aren't because they aren't reviewable, I'd like that to change.

Nice work bud👍👍
States that good to great players can be found later down the list.
Thats why JB was hired for one good reason.
Also says going gaga over an early draft number is overblown.
When or if a generational talent is available thats a 1 or 2OA.
Many times over when a team can pick BPA & its also a need thats ideal.

You just named 18 players dating back to the 2002 draft, Duncan Keith, at 210 kids drafted a year you just named the 1% of 2000+ (2940) kids taken since then he was referring to. Truthfully it's probably more around 10%, but who's counting

Seven of the players you named are from the 2003 draft, arguably the strongest draft in NHL history.

There's good players, impactful players, taken throughout the draft, however, it's a proven fact the majority of the best players come from the top of the draft.

No disagreeing on majority of stars r higher picks.
Another perspective is we r only 1 of 31 teams drafting & how well we draft & how many make the NHL each draft is a better way to measure the results. If we get more than our fair share its a success. If any players surprise & end up as top 6F or top 4D from the 2nd round on is a great draft.

Yes more will be added from last season's meager pickings. OJ or bust. Lockwood is a long shot. Maybe they pick up someone's first since they all got one. Come on Pens, Habs, Rangers you don't need it.

As I said those were off the top of my head. I have found many others since but I type slow so not gonna bother. I am sure my point was understood by most, but some may not like the facts that are indicated from that information.

No your point wasn't understood. You're essentially saying it doesn't matter where you draft, because guys can be found in the later rounds. Dumbest argument I've heard since nighthawks posts on the weekend.

You can twist facts as much as you want, but you're still wrong. It's a stupid argument and not worth anymore responses.
