Solod post...as an outsider looking in I cant really understand the direction he wants to take the Canucks in. Is he trying to rebuild or make the playoffs. Or does have some prideful notion that he can rebuild without tanking, like theres some imaginary respect to be had for such an admirable acomplishment?

No... it was the ineptitude of another puke filled Oilers team. The Oil Couldn't lift themselves up after several 1OA but hey they were genius for moving up the lotto and struck gold. Right that is how you only rebuild. It's a great plan.

Look enjoy this season for whatever it brings. Just remember the high the Avs were on a couple seasons back. Remember with a young core, they had failed for, and see where they are now. Don't think your team is immune to that or out of any woods. Oil have proven nothing.

Not saying Taney wouldn't be at or near the top of the list, just saying the Oilers aren't giving up assets for that type of D right now...we need forwards that can score and a backup goalie.

It's classic my team is better cause it knows how to rebuild troll shade. Like your team sucks because it isn't trying to tank to rebuild comments. Well some here like that. You already heard Lefty who's the biggest propenent of that, try to throw shade on me, for questioning it.

But many others don't like tanking. Can appreciate that rebuilds have different forms and tools. GM's don't have tanking as a play book for rebuilding.

It's okay for Lefty to have his view. But it's worse when other fans, from traditionally losing teams, who haven't accomplished anything, stroll in here and say what gives. But yeah no big deal. It's all good.

Not as regulars, but in a pinch...notice I listed 10. I fail to see how the Oilers can offer up anything of quality for Tanev without hurting our depth at forward.

When JB was hired he assumed an older team with many NMC's &
NTC's along with a large gap in age grouping in the mid 20's.
Had to clean house best he could then now we r collecting prospects.

Tanev Markstrom in & Russell can be expendable IMO
Reinhart is depth at most.
