Yeah we are the only fan base to do this.

I find it fascinating how self deprecating we are, typical Canadians.

he isn't wrong though. Every fan base does it, you're right there, but its mainly the Canadian teams blogs (albeit they have the most traffic on this site anyway) that overvalue their players.

I disagree. I think Hansen will have a new home by Wednesday. Exposing Granlund and his 900k cap hit contract would be ridiculous. It would kind of be funny of Shinkaruk and Granlund both got claimed but we don't really need to dive into that lol. Granlund is 7 years younger than Hansen, and Hansen's value has peaked, trade him now.

I'm going to guess he gets low ball offers on all his trade targets with the expansion draft coming, just like Ottawa is getting for Lazar. Hansen stays, Burrows is Hamhuis 2.0, Miller is one of JB's guys.

Guy was unreal for the states at the juniors and is just about a point a game this year ...he is going to be a lot better than a 3rd liner
- Redmile247

We have seen lots of players, over the years, shine at the WJC and then suck goat balls in the NHL. The WJC is not always the best forum for talent, or at least not at Dragon's elite level of evaluation.

If Benning can get a 1st, Bonino and Sbisa for Kesler (two team list) than I am willing to guess that Benning can do something with Hansen and 8 teams.

I think if the wild are willing to part with one of their top prospects they will be getting a player a lot better than Hansen

I think you overvalue how much a player who has never played a single game in the NHL is worth. Isn't it you who is harping on Hutton because he has only played 1.5 years and yet to prove himself.

agreed. I hope Hansen gets traded, it makes the most sense. I hope Hansen/Miller/Burrows all get traded.

I think it is entirely possible that he doesnt trade them at all and says at the press release "We didn't get the return we wanted, so we would rather just keep them."

Hansen is worth a first, that's not over valuing. It might be wishful thinking, but if someone wants him bad enough they'll pay the price.

Hansen MAY be worth a late round 1st, but there are certain implications with the expansion draft and the fact that he has a 8 team shortlist.

More or less.

First round picks.
2016. 15th overall.
2015. 20th.
2014. 18th.
2013. None.
2012. 7th.
2011. 10th.
2010. 9th

Compared to us:

2016. 5th overall.
2015. 23rd.
2014. 6th & 24th.
2013. 9th & 24th.
2012. 26th.
2011. 29th.
2010. None.

One would think our depth would be better then theirs....

A first should be Bennings target. Not an A level prospect. That's absurd
