Domino's are falling, they will trickle through i'm sure. Van is playing a home game on Saturday. Waiting to give them a farewell maybe. - manvanfan
Bad idea. All we need is for one or both to get an injury and bye-bye trade. |

I think they play Saturday, but no way should anyone in talks for trades be playing the Wings on Tuesday night |

its quite impressive. Not to mention they are having a fantastic year this year as well. Franchise heading in the right direction. - Codes1087
Yes they have done great work. Is this an example of a team who rebuilds without tanking |

More or less.
First round picks.
2016. 15th overall.
2015. 20th.
2014. 18th.
2013. None.
2012. 7th.
2011. 10th.
2010. 9th
Compared to us:
2016. 5th overall.
2015. 23rd.
2014. 6th & 24th.
2013. 9th & 24th.
2012. 26th.
2011. 29th.
2010. None.
One would think our depth would be better then theirs.... - Whiskey-Tango
For the Wild it's about quality picks not tanking for a rebuild. Plus they have made quite a lot of trades and free agent signings. |

not really up to the GM to draft, but rather to find the right people to draft/scout. I think it helps when your GM is a former player/has scout experience but its not really his top priority as a GM to be a head scout. - Codes1087
youre right its not up to him to draft but it is up to him to give the marching orders to the scouting staff. Thats a key part on what changed with the new regime, they were told what JB was looking for. |

I'm undecided.
1.Patrick
2. Hischier
3. Valdradi or Middlestadt. Depending on who is picking at 3.
4. The loser of 3
5. Liljegren
6. Elias Pettersson.
7. Owen Tippett
After that IDK.
before you knock Peterson at 6.

We have seen lots of players, over the years, shine at the WJC and then suck goat balls in the NHL. The WJC is not always the best forum for talent, or at least not at Dragon's elite level of evaluation. - Marwood
always picking fights arent you? The weasel that you are
isnt there some acid calling your name? Mushrooms? Oxy? btw Dont answer, we already know |

I think Nico and Mittle have the highest ceiling. I don't like Vilardi's skating |

I've only seen Vilardi twice in top prospects and an OHL game, he skating didn't look too bad. Maybe not elite but no worse then Bo's every was. After reading that article on Middlestadt I think he has more offensive upside but Vilardi has the better all around game. |

I don't disagree but we need the most skill possible and that ain't Vilardi |

We will get to see a fair bit of Vilardi during game memorial cup. His team.will be hosting, therefore they have an automatic shot at the cup.
