The hysteria always amps up over any trade or no trade lol
Fickle nature of many fans is our curse more so than anything else.
I use fan loosely when applied to some ppl btw.
Like it or not the 2018-19 season & beyond is where we should be focussed upon.
Next season will merely be a step towards the future with hopefully some bright spots along the way. Van fans if memory serves me correctly have never shown patience in general & I see it to remain the case. The JV situation is one example of how fast bandwagoners can turn to poison. The Shink trade showed the true colours of many fans. Everything JB has tried has been to turnaround the mess MG left him. MG did make us a contender for awhile but at a heavy price & that is his legacy. JB has been at the helm for just his 3rd season & to unravel & rebuild this mess takes time & patience which he mentioned constantly. Maybe one thing that will arise from the ashes when the old guard is gone is our lousiest of fans leave with them. The Canucks need many things as well as a smarter & more loyal fan base. |

In a package for a quality young player I would as long as we were not sending a pick with it...unless it was a home run. - boonerbuck
That sounds like an off season move. Could be done for need. As you said depends on quality of return.
Though are we not talking about the holy grail of trades at the TDL
I don't count you here. But with the days counting down to hours the hysteria over who should go and for what will be even more epic this year. I look forward to your cut though the BS style commentary though. Levity will be nice after JB will be condemned for not doing what's needed.

Ryan Biech with another great article on Boeser and Gaudette and signing them this year.

If he plays less then 10 games the CBA allows for them to mutually agree to extend one year of the ELC. So his contract could be contingent on that if they have him play a game or two this season. |

I've been known to take weeks to months off from HB after the TDL, playoff elimination, draft, and July 1st. It's like watching the Arab woman in the streets yelling and crying after a bomb hit their building around here.
- boonerbuck
Just you wait till the trade deadline.
I got the day off, a nice bottle of Rum from Havana and a whole lot of rage.
Mix that in with the inevitable Subban/Hutton/2nd round pick trade and buddy, you got the perfect circumstances for one my classic bipolar meltdowns.
Can't wait |

Still no talk out there about Sbisa. Usually the not talked about are moved in these highly speculative times. With the Hainsy and Stone moves I think a Canuck D like Sbisa is the first and maybe only trade JB will be able to make by the TDL. - Nuck4U
Sbisa, Edler and Tanev being traded has been on this message board for the past two years straight. Yesterday, in fact there was a massive dialogue of which of the three should be dealt (which mostly turned out to be Sbisa). This morning it was
Hainsey/Stone have set the market, what can we get. So... no. If you're not going to actually read the posts, don't comment on what has or hasn't been covered |

It's definitely redundant. Even a little ignorant of what the state of mind is with the club. Playing off some big decision... talking about UFA's like management doesn't want to trade them if possible...
To be honest, this is basically written by about 3 people a day in here... - boonerbuck

What about this, would it work?
Miller and Hansen to Pitt for MAF, 1st in 2018 and 3rd in 2017. Van would eat 50% of Millers salary.
Van gets a goalie to be a number 1 until Demko is ready plus a 1st in a better draft. They then can expose Markstrom or trade him in the summer.
Pitt gets an insurance policy for Murray, doesn't lose MAF for nothing and a versatile winger for the cup run. |

I think the fella is referring to chatter 'out there' from the twitterverse and the dark web, from reputable sorts like Darren Dreader, not just the peanut gallery in here. |

I don't see how we end up with two picks in this deal. I don't think it's a bad idea, but because we end up losing marky for nothing... it's not great. MAF and a 1st for Hansen/Miller maybe is equitable. |

If that deal were to happen losing Marky bothers me not.
Idk why Pitt would want Miller though. |

yeah, cool idea and all, but seems weird from Pitts pov.
They trade a 1st, 3rd and MAF (who they could probably trade to Calgary for a 2nd/3rd)
So say a 1st, 2nd (potentially) and 3rd for Miller on an expiring contract and Hansen.
meh, i think they'd pass. |

I think if you read Dbots post you'd understand what is meant by "out there".
Just adding though to that theme versus what we discuss "in here" on these threads.
If "out there" was equivalent to "in here" there might be no club to speak of as everyone would be gone for draft picks and prospects
