He's a leading contender given who's up for sale at TDL. Though Isles may go after Landy for JT and playoff push. That might be your biggest name player to move.

If you take the Granlund trade as not so bad as you first thought maybe that filter might help for what may or may not happen this TDL.

If it's any indication, I did not take that trade very well at all. Still don't like the principle of it ( prospect for player at a time when we should be stock pilling) though that has come out nicely.

Honestly, I could care less about the returns, so long as there is some semblance of action to reduce the likely hood of losing assets for nothing.

The trade on principle was for a young player who's upside we didn't know of yet. The hope was Shat had better upside. But his ability to make it was questioned. In all honesty I was surprised by the move. Yet I thought to give it a chance because at the very least Granlund seemed serviceable and could fill a need.

Anyway, I bring it up for lets say a possible move of Subban. Maybe for say a forward who's struggled like JV and is in the AHL. That could work or other types of trades of players we don't have a book on like JB does.

As for asset management I get that and a couple moves would be great. However, if the Nucks wanted they could keep all these players into next season. Even say sending a Grenier and Cullen to Vegas so they don't pick Hansen or Sbisa or Guance at TDL. There are several ways to manage assets.

Though I'd prefer like you a good return for a vet if it's offered at TDL.

i believe we have to think more practically as a fanbase and look to getting and giving a bit more . so lets say Hansen and Grandlund to the Wild for Ek and a first this year dependent on a western final appearance, and an added second next year on a cup finale appearance , with the first this year transferring to next year if they lose in the first 2 rounds

and , oh , i did say it was dependant on success in the playoffs and thats what teams will pay for.

not withstanding if you heard BMac today you would know that in his opinion that the Wild are loath to trade their existing prospects but with the inclusion of Grandlund that is eased in a way and it would give them a brother pair which has shown through NHL history to being a benefit contract wise going forward
