He's been paired with Lindholm for the last year & a half,
So I'd say yes
Last year they were the top pair
This year, bc Fowler has been so good,
its more like they have 1a & 1b defensive pairs

He's strong in his own end & tough to play against
He won't "wow" you, or put up points...
just a solid, defensive defenseman imo

im not oppose to these kind of trades but imo the big move on D has to be near 0 miss. Someone who's had real success for an extended period of time at the NHL level. Thats the guy you overpay out the tuchus for.

I don't think Manson is top 5-6 in terms of their defensive players/prospects. He seems to be a defensive liability in the last few games as well. He loses his man coming out of the corner leading to goals that either tie or take the lead.

honestly, its tricky to read this draft. They'll have multiple picks in the top 60. you could trade out, but then you run the risk at getting less value because the draft is "weaker".

OR

you could look to accumulate picks at cut rate because everyone sees the draft as weaker, maybe you accumulate enough that you can hit on one or two that turn into a mccabe or o'reilly at minimal cost.
