I am a member of a legion and VFW, and the problem with both is that there are not enough younger guys getting involved. Without more younger guys joining they will be obsolete in about 10 years. I'm thinking about running for commander just so I can try to resurrect one of them. Sons of the Legion is where you can really get the help you need to make them great again.

The kid CLEARLY grabs Peters by the arm and tries to pull him over the bench and Peters just threw him off. But there's no sense in arguing about it, I see what I see and you see what you see. The video is shaky and blurry.

But the Hamilton players were definitely out of control and the situation was definitely out of the ref's control at that point.

What I see is 2 players jumping the bench, both coaches try to break it up, Peters get grabbed and pulled forward and in one motion he straight-arms the player to the shoulder because he's Andrew (frank)ing Peters and made a living making sure he didn't get punched when that happens.

Damn. I need to be a lawyer.

Agree and disagree, if you can get them involved and have successful events, chicken BBQs, gun shows, raffles, banquets, you can grow more than letting them fade away into nothing. Sure the bar might not be full every night, but guys and girls who have served still like to spend time together. That's why it's important to continue to look for new members.

Hey man, I'm all for it. It's about getting them to once a week or even just once a month to put their conquest of the opposite sex to the back-seat for a night. I have family members in the Legion and I enjoy them, they have a great atmosphere. Problem is, most young guys don't think that. You meet a ton of interesting people in any Legion.
