The first 20 games that Jack missed we had 4 shoot out losses, 2 overtime losses and 4 other 1 goal losses. If anyone thinks we would only be 3-5 points better if he wasn't hurt, I would have to strongly disagree.

Not saying you're wrong, but my argument against this was:

What's to say Jack didn't experience a sophomore slump right out of the gate

Other players production (Moulson esp. comes to mind) would have been negated by Jack's

The team might have looked to him too early too often instead of shouldering responsibility.

The team actually gelled better without him being here since they didn't have him as a sure-fire reliability

And our D was still suspect then, so for every goal he scores, he dangles and give up an odd-man rush and his production is negated anyway. And if not him, someone else.

Disco sits on any lead he gets. We have more leads, we still give up 40 shots a game.

We don't know what would have happened the first 20 games, so it's impossible to attribute his production to more or less wins.

I have no problems in the Leafs thread . I raz them and have good convos too. They are not the same dorks from years ago. They have the same doubts and high expectations as we do.
And it changes every game .

Interesting.

I want Jack with 5 shots on goal per game. But it's not just shooting, it's his decision to shoot vs. pass. He's trying to set guys up which is great, but those guys are Foligno and co.
