How amazing is it that we are 15th in goals against with BOTH goalies above .920 Sv%.

What an effin joke. Season just mirrored the Bills season. This team doesn't look close to being ready to compete in the playoffs. Who knows when they'll be back in.

It's a poophole even for people on vacation. Also, you just said what is true for the vast majority of large cities, full stop.

Cities have to have ring roads, and highways that run through them, or they will die.

I'd substitute skating with "puck moving". Bogo can skate, so can Kuli. It's moving the puck in the right direction they are clueless at.

Long story short... this team is EXACTLY who we thought they were..
-strong offensively (only when 15, & 90 are on)
-Have a few bad contracts (26, 47, 63)
-struggle defensively

Given the roster and injuries Not surprised or mad but theres still work that needs to be done. main goals:
-Shed one of the 26, 47, 63 contract in any way possible
-Somehow find that 2/3 d man

But that doesn't mean the roster wasn't suitable to contend for a playoff spot. Had they played differently when the stakes were high - which is to say had the beaten the teams they were capable of beating - they would be contending for a playoff sport right now.

Do I think they have the team they want? No, I'm certain there are still pieces they hope to shed and others they hope to acquire.

But it isn't SCARY to think this team was capable of contending for the playoffs.

Thats exactly what it means. Their inability to pick up points against teams "they should beat" or when the stakes were high is directly the result of not having roster thats good enough.

A team with this defence is never going to make the playoffs, period. That was apparent from August. The fact that they thought it genuinely could is in fact scary since the average casual fan and or media member could've identified otherwise.

I am one who would have said that due to injuries this year, that Bylsma would be here for certain next season. This picture makes me change my stance.
