I don't think he'll have more value next year, but really no true 4th liner has much value anyways. I can't argue it would be nicer to see a young player learning in that slot but do we have anyone in the org. that makes sense to put there? With all our top kids it seems they need lots of minutes and our prospect depth in the minors is not good. - NorthNuck
Gaunce is the guy who jumps to mind for me. Next year we also have Boeser available. That's two roster spots we need. Lots of people on here seem to want Labate to get a crack. I'd rather them seek out someone young either way, why sign Burrows instead of virtually any other option of winger under 25? |

So it was fine when it was misogynists and bigots, but shut the guy up who points it out? |

Its a trade that would be done in the offseason anyway. Plus its not going to happen. |

I would do that in a second if only to avoid all future discussions about our #1 pick compared to all other #1s picked around him in the draft.

Let's hope it is next year is the Lottery pick Boeser Lebate JV in, and Burrows Hansen Chaput Skille out. |

top 5 pick, bottom pair d, bottom 6 winger for bonified top6 winger... that is 21.
Yes please! is there a bonified top 6 forward in the top5? Debatable. Is he better than Drouin poop no |

Druin is a #1.... just removed the awkward break-in phase. Again, I would do that trade.

Perfect example of how democracy is failing. Also, Twain was a HUGE bigot |

I am not arguing that. I would do that as well. Again, it would be an off season trade as we don't know where we will end up in the draft, but Drouin is a special player. |

Who in the 1800s was not a huge bigot? It was a national pastime until they invented baseball. Then racism was the national pastime.

(Truthfully I had not read a darned thing about the argument. Life is too short to argue about things that are not Maple Leaf related.)

When you keep drafting gems, eventually you are going to have to pay them. I think Yzerman was smart to get rid of Bishop, but he is going to have to start thinking about paying Drouin, and after the Kucherov/Stamkos/Hedmen contracts, he is going to have to be pretty smart with his $ and Drouin. |

Jeremy Bentham, Oscar Wilde, Mary Wollstonecraft off the top of my head. For someone who claims to want to talk hockey, you're going on a fair bit. |

I'd think Filpulla, Callahan, Johnson and Palat (in that order) would go before him unless he still doesn't want to be there. |
