Don't forget, Vegas is the wild card here. They can also make moves at this deadline. Just some food for thought. - dadeadhead
how funny would it be if vegas trades for kane today or tomorrow
playing great hockey finally, and he has to shut the season down early |

Piggy backing off this... When the D corps gets better i think you see the Offense finally start putting up the 5v5 #s. Looking at this powerplay proves that when the puck gets moved into the zone with a purpose they can score more often than not. If 5v5 they can improve the transition game we make noise - yen6d1
Absolutely. That's why I'm so confused on the Bylsma hate.
Most of this teams struggles is because of the blue line.
The PP is fine, goaltending is fine.
Our defense is just plain bad |

Theres enough to justify hating bylsma but we cant pretend like he's the only reason we're bad. |

Not sure if they can trade for actual players yet. May just be picks or prospects. |

Unless they are trading their 1st rounder for him (which they wouldn't) it makes no sense for Murray to trade Kane to Vegas, all they can offer is picks... |

Just had a big TWD talk with some co-workers. Keep in mind I'm still pretty new to the series ("binge-watched" it while they were on this recent hiatus), but there are only 2 episodes left this season...it looks alike any buildup they're doing right now isn't going to result in the big fight (with any definitive end anyways) I had hoped.
My prediction - the season ends just like last season. |

Correct.
A bad blue line, untimely injuries, a terrible PK, and constant line shuffling is why they won't make the playoffs. |

From Isles: Josh Ho-Sang has been recalled from Bridgeport (emergency conditions)
Has to be a trade coming for one of Kane, Eberle, Duchene |

I think it's kind of obvious - passing should be something coachable. Not the skill to make a good pass, but being coached on positioning and such. For example, setting up the breakouts, board positioning, etc, and coaching the players as to when/where they're to make the passes.
If passing isn't coachable, what is? What does a coach truly bring to these elite players (elite in the sense that they're the top 6-900 in the world to make it to the NHL) skill?
People on here constantly knock the intelligence of the defensemen, well, isn't coaching supposed to help overcome that by putting systems in to bypass that stuff? You can't make a breakout pass to save your life - create a system to make it easier, whether it's forwards being more available to the d-men, dumping it up the middle of the ice, etc - that's the coach's job.

When?
Pretty sure the Sabres are getting one in 2018 with the Jr's playing here and US vs Can playing at Rich Stadium (I won't call it by anything else). |

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Colorado needs a young D as part of return. Hamonic might not be right fit. Duchene is eager to move. Still tough to make work now. 3 way?
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Interested to see if Garth Snow goes big game hunting. Oilers say Eberle isn't moving. Duchene is a good fit for Isles...1/2

Yost just shut down Garth.
I'm at work and can't post the screen cap.
It's pretty great.
EDIT:
It was last night, but Garth made a comment about the Sabres going after Lazar and Yost basically put the kabash on that. |

Is passing not a skill? I wouldn't put bad passing on coaching.
I don't think Bylsma is perfect by any stretch, but when you trade out puck moving defenders for worse puck moving defenders I'm not sure how the coach is blamed |
