They need to trade this guy. He is making the Jet/Sabre trade very one sided, and we can't have that. - Mentalorgasm5

Incredibly one sided, especially since he has 1 year left on his deal and we haven't sniffed the playoffs yet, while 2 of the pieces we gave them aren't even in the NHL. - sbroads24
Strange how a rebuilding team hasn't made the playoffs yet. The Jets have been a unstoppable force in the playoffs since making that trade with the sabres.

which other d-men did he add? not a snark post im genuinely asking in case i missed someone.
Shipped out Myers, Pysyk, McNabb
Brought in Bogo, Kulikov and Gorges(not sure how that doesnt prove my point he gave up a 2nd rounder for him?). Franson too
Edit: This isnt about specific trades and their value, just his apparent inability to identify what a good d-man looks like. - Sabresfan-365
Gorges has been exactly what we brought him in to be as we trudged through the tank years
Ruhwedel, Nelson, Falk and Fedun were all what we thought they would be or better. Franson was a low risk grab that will more or less break even.
Neither Bogo nor Kuli worked out. I like the try in both instances, and I don't know enough about Kuli pre-sabres to say it was foolish (as I know you think). Other professional hockey people have said it was not. |

Strange how a rebuilding team trades a big package for a defender they can't get rid of and a forward they tried trading, all the while investing in Okposo and O'Reilly and almost making it difficult to make said forward part of the long term plans |

the lower end guys sure, the attempt to build the top 4 has been dreadful. Its actually bizzare. hes been able to identify some pretty good forwards, Rodrigues the latest of that bunch. |

Badgosian and EHL Kasdord say hi - bluengold12
K. Myers, Armia, Stafford, and Lemuiex say hi. The amazing prospect they got with our pick can't crack a lotto contending team. It's like we want to ignore the fact the jets got scraps.
Murray haters are getting testy that his trades are starting to become overwhelming one sided. |

This is rich.
Joel Armia's 12pt onslaught and two guys who can't get into the league - along with a tall skinny kid who's hurt even more than Kane - give you lots of good reasons to keep female doging about the trade. |

The difference is he traded for a defenceman who had four or five years left on his deal at a cap hit that ranks him comparable to the top defenceman in the league. 5.1 million for a player as terrible as Bogosian is in his own end is unacceptable. Even if Murray thought he could be a solid 3 or 4 guy getting stuck with that contract is way worse than having Myers and Stafford. Now I love having Kane and if getting Bogosian was the only way we could get Kane I guess I could see it if Murray made them take some salary back but I believe if I recall correctly Murray wanted Bogosian and now we're stuck with him. |

You're writing the guy off for two trades: the second piece of a two part deal where everyone but you and SBroads think we won the top piece; and the main piece of another deal where most people conclude there's no way to evaluate the deal because of Kulikov injury.
They are both misses.
But they're not cardinal sins. |

If you're referring to kane, ive said several times its not the player its the timing that bothers me.
I call bs on the kulikov one. His defensive short comings are all between the ears, not a result of lack of speed or something. |

I really don't think it's fair to judge Kulikov for this year.
Bogo on the other hand has been a failure mostly because, as we've both agreed on, he's pigeonholed into defensive d-man because he likes to hit, but if he were allowed to play a more Risto-like role he would be better, maybe not $5.whateverM good, but better than he is trying to be a shutdown defender.
I love how these guys can take a 100mph slapshot off the ankle and still be fine with just a slight limp, but bump into them? They act like they've been shot by a sniper. |
