If the expansion draft plays into it, then why a 2 year deal and not just a 1 yr deal to protect Stolarz in the ed?

Stolarz has struggled a bit in the ahl since being sent back down. Couldn't have anything to do with how Hak used him while he was up. Who's to say that won't happen next year?

Mason's psyche will be fine. Got a shutout last night, if played regularly now, will probably carry the flyers into the playoffs to try to get a better deal with another team next year.

Once that is accomplished, he'll fill out the 4th line. Until then, he'll go with a guy that's serviceable and who the coaching staff is comfortable with.

No point worrying about the 4th line until you have 3 solid lines playing in front of them

I just don't get it. There has been much hemming and hawing over how poor our depth is, and that it needs to improve, and yet the same players play year after year. Either players are a part of the problem or they're not.
