I mean its been 16 minutes since he tweeted that couturier left the ice, and he confirmed a few minutes ago that he still hasn't returned. There could be something to it. I think if it was an equipment issue it would have been sorted out by now.

Of course there is the chance that he hurt himself or just isn't feeling well. I wouldn't just assume its nothing though.

No team wants to run out of defensemen in the playoffs. See, the 2004 Flyers and 2011 Canucks, for example. I could see Pittsburgh being interested in MDZ or perhaps even Streit. I can totally see the Flyers retaining most of Streit's salary (if he waives his NTC) if there's a trade partner to be found.

If you could package up Coots and Schenn with one prospect and/or pick why wouldn't you try to pull the trigger and get Landeskog and Duschene??? Difference of about 2 million in cap hit.
