I like the deal, works for both sides here. I wish Goldy all the best as he's going to get his opportunity to sink or swim with you guys, just something that wasn't going to happen here in san jose.
I just crack up so many shark fans crying about this deal lol.....I mean this isn't a shocker seeing goldy get moved.
Anyway I hope to see Hansen on Logan's line - SJSharks39

I didn't say they all would be. Just that banking on the 2 years from now top 6 that includes all of them being wicked reminds me of all the years of people assuming Raymond-Grabner-Kassian-Gaunce-Hodgson-Jensen would pan out and hence there was no need to try to get more young players. - Lindenis#1
What are you yammering on about... Grabner is a solid player... idiot MG traded cuz that fool AV loved that useless tit Raymond... |

I couldn't believe I saw Sharks fans upset about that condition.
If the Canucks made a trade that was 12 conditional first rounders if they won the cup, I wouldn't get mad because if it panned out it means they won. (frank) cares about the rest. |

I think this is the first time since Jim Benning has taken over that I am confident in the fact that he is committed to building the team through the draft/developing. Hansen is a very serviceable player, but Goldobyn and the possiblilty of a 1st far outweighs his production on a terrible Canucks team. - Codes1087
Yup. Now on to the draft. The only two days in the Canuck calendar that really mattered this year. |

If my team won the cup I couldn't give a poop what they did for years after. The joy would be radioactive, it would have a half life. |

low risk, high reward. - Whiskey-Tango
Lazar's absolute ceiling is a 3rd liner at this point. Seems like they just paid a premium price for a guy who isn't NHL caliber right now and requires expansion protection.
Just bad value. |

I saw a Hawks fan in their thread last off season say the words
"3 cups in 5 years is nice and all, but Bowman has to go for his cap management. Its unacceptable how he's managed this team"
Let that first bit sink in. |

Yeah I know..........a lot of shark fans are cry babies and not very well informed when it comes to our prospects and what we have.
They just see Goldy a former 1st rd pick and completely just knee jerk off of that. |

i don't want SJ to win the cup... does that mean i'm against the Nux or just that I despise Sharks fans that it isn't worth the 1st rounder... |

There should be more trade activity around the expansion and entry drafts. |

Its weird. I went to like 15+ Oil Kings games a year back then and then a handful in the playoffs, and if anyone was going to be a sure bet I thought it was Lazar at forward and Pysyk on D.
Weird to see how out of all the guys picked off that 3-4 year period for them, Pysyk is the only one capable of really playing a regular shift. They must have had 10-ish guys picked and most of them don't have a future. |

Lightning probably just pissed Hextall off to the point where he will leave his crease and fight Yzerman the next time he see's him.
Lightning offload a 4th round pick, Filpula contract and a conditional 7th to Philly for Streit. Then flip Streit to the Pens for a condition 4th. Essentially, lighting offload Filpula and his contract for a conditional 7th. Smart move by Yzerman. |

And its still a first rounder. You have first round priority for players. Whether you have a guy you want to target, or maybe another team is willing to give you a second and a third because they're in love with someone. Its still a first rounder. |

I'm almost surprised that GMs still deal with Yzerman. He's always got something a lot more in the oven than he lets on. |
