Successful....for an 18 yrs old. But he didn't prove a thing...didn't prove he belonged and his summer booze an cheeseburger fest proves that out. He's you're average dumb millenial teen that thinks he's entitled to everything....while earning none of it. JB knows it and that's why they are leaving him in Utica and forcing him to work for it. No question he has great tools....but that doesn't make you a success in the NHL if you have a soft head to go with it. - Bullfrog77
Fun tip, people who are 20 or younger fall outside the millenial age range. Teens now are considered Gen Z. |

he's a good guy, intelligent too, but he's a bit of a bully, or can be. Probably just an old habit. He was probably a tough hombre back in the day but diplomacy definitely came to him later in life. - LeftCoaster
I still think he's a 145lbs, Asian kid, living in shaughnessy. |

True story, my friends kid was just diagnosed with ADHD. Now he's treated as special. His dad (my friend) was recommended to be tested and low and behold he's had ADHD. Never knew.
We always considered him to be driven, energetic, and curious about everything. We were envious. Now he has two businesses, and six houses he rents out. Very successful.
I wonder what damage we are doing to our kids by labelling them as damaged or special. |

It's human tendency to want to put everybody into their respective boxes, not always a good thing. Millenials are people aged roughly 21-35 as of now, so a lot of people in their 30s who complain about "millenials" are much closer to that handle than they think |

ADHD is one of those things with a massive spectrum where I bet half the population of the earth falls somewhere on it. It's given a seriously negative connotation but people have been dealing with it for a looong time.
I know plenty of people who have behavioral tendencies that would suggest they have ADD or ADHD. Does it mean they need any treatment or special attention? Nope. |

In this day and age, everyone is considered 'special'.

could it be an issue of changing employers? the visa may be tied to his employer and with the change, it needs to be amended.
bureaucracy! - RealityChecker
Yes, his status has changed. Previously he was a foreigner working in the States for a domestic employer. He's now a foreigner working on a temporary basis in the States for a foreign employer. If they don't get his new visa conditions approved in time, he won't be able to play. Wouldn't even be able to play for Utica as he's on an NHL contract that had been assigned to the farm team. |

I was talking to my father about it (he remarried a teacher who specializes in this thing) and he made me laugh when he said...
"When I was young there were only three types of kids; lazy, evil, and the rest were just normal."

Canucks play in Winnipeg on March 26th. I've got tickets as per usual. Just got new job schedule starts March 21-28. First week always means no vacation. Called my supervisor asked him if I could have the weekend off. He said "no" straight up. Disappointed I said "ok, thanks" he then asked what for and I said the Canucks are in town. He laughed and said" (frank) I'm mad I have to miss it. Already had to sell my tickets don't want to see you do the same. Have fun" (frank)en solid my boss is a huge Canucks fan he said". Asked me what I thought about trade deadline and poop. |
