Why 2 groups? Stick with one and roll with it. - TheSabresTaco
To test the opinion of each option is the only reason. Once people check either/both out and we get feedback, I don't plan on keeping them both going. |

when it leaked out he is not the locker room leader they expected, it's fair conversation for a simple discussion on a 7 mil per year player
I did not see one person say anything bad about the person or the play on the ice - homiedclown
I haven't read such. That's interesting though. All I heard was "Oh ROR is first on the ice last to leave" kinda guy. And ROR after-practice practice. I definitely agree one of his roles is to be a leader and he needs to be performing that duty. But are the rumors real? Is he only 85% as commanding as he should be? Wish we knew more on things like this.
Like with Kane, you know. He got into poop, he's keeping his nose clean. I like Murray's approach with him, I think it's the right call. Yeah we'll talk extension, maybe, if he keeps his poop together. |

I'm a discord user, so I may have a bias. But I love the system works. I would say though, it's better for voice chat than type. |

i think it's an average contract, he's currently in a slump that makes it easy to bash but you can always fine better and worse contracts for almost any player |

Can't or Won't.
I'm hoping for the latter... right now it feels like the former.
This offseason, like we have all said for every year before this, will be crucial. |

Complaining about ROR is today's soup du jour eh.
The guy is in a slump, he's an extremely important player that I've always respected on the ice (same can't be said off the ice pre-Sabres), he can do everything at least pretty well.
Get the (frank) over it. - TheSabresTaco
I'm not worried about ROR. We'll be finding out he'll be having off season surgery and will be fully healthy by training camp next season. |

This is becoming the quintessential HB teapot tempest. In yesterday's pre-TDL interview, Hamilton said ROR has not been the leader HAMILTON thought he would be. He didn't say that is the case, all the time, or whether it has been over this last stretch of games. The interview did not establish that the team feels that way. Hamilton also said Jack has been rather whiney, and that he is being exposed to "the wrong influences" but wouldn't go into who or what they were. Of course everyone here presumes he's partying with Kane.
There is NO WAY O'Reilly can be an overall disappointment to the team. He was phenomenal last year, in every thing he did. Many people believe he's being overused this year, or that his abdominal injury is worse than he's letting on, but I haven't heard that his overall year has been a disappointment. Maybe the fatigue and the injury are combining to require him to throttle back a bit from last year and Hamilton is quacking about that.
Rob Ray was asked about Kane yesterday, and said that other than the lingering civil suits, there has been no reason for the team to be anything but thrilled with Kane's situation this year, that he is well liked by the rest of the roster and nobody has any issues with him at all. |

After this weekend, I think we're all pretty (frank)ing irritated. The fans and the team alike. There's absolutely no reason not to be.
But maybe the players are finally looking at themselves in the mirror. Maybe the coach is realizing "if I don't help fix this, I may be fired" (GM too). Maybe Murray is sitting there, which he pretty much confirmed yesterday, saying this is completely unacceptable, I know the back end needs a lot of work, but to be giving up leads like that is beyond a talent problem. A month ago, we were a team that overcame deficits. Now we're the opposite. We have the talent to win. Not contend. Win. We're still a work in progress, and that's fine. I think everyone's expectations was compete for the playoffs, and we fell short this year. It's aggravating. We're starving for a Buffalo playoff run. But we have most of our forwards in place. We have a pair of long term d men and a quality long term starting goalie.
It's no secret what this team needs. Maybe we need a new coach with an easier system. Maybe (read: Definitely) we need better defenders. Maybe we need an improved bottom 6. And maybe Nic Deslauriers should just not be here. |

Does anyone else think that this season is our Columbus sesason? They came out two seasons ago and almost upset the Pens in the playoffs. Came out the next season with more expectations, but everything that could go wrong with that team did, the injuries most specifically, but they came out this year looking like the team the just about beat Pitt. Im not saying we should do nothing at all to fix the team, because there are a lot of holes, but is it possible that since Eichel's injury everything that could have happened to this team did and badly.
I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses for them, Im not but it seems like a perfect storm of crap for this team no matter what is going on.
I think that with the addition of a 3-4 and 5-6 dman and a scoring winger this team is good next year, not Stanley Cup good but make the playoffs and not embarrass your fan base good.
Not many positives this season. |

I used that word too. But I would say his overall performance is slumping. He's the highest paid player and isn't playing as such right now. |
