BSN Denver has lost major brownie points for hiring Dater. he just flippin sucks. I cant stand his temperament when he has someone that tries to challenge his opinion or go into sounding like a drunken fool and argue. I heard him on the Trade Deadline Preview show and he was just awful. I hope he's not continually on the show cause he's bad vibes all the way

I drove to Ottawa to catch the game last night and I'm pretty damn excited about Compher. He was great!!! Played 3C and was a pest with a ton of energy! Great skater and smart player too. It's pretty clear when watching live why the Avs are a horrible team. Supporting cast is absolutely dreadful and drags the others down. Aside from Burrows' first goal, Pickard was really good! Now let's see some AJ Greer and Duncan Siemens...

I was really disappointed with the hire, but expect the podcast to stay the same with AJ and JJ. Little did I know that was not the case. Like both of you guys have said, he hates it when he is proven wrong, he loves the sound of his voice, and thinks he is God's cure for the avs.

I really hope that he continues to be trashy and bsn cans him. Like his articles are terrible reads, his one on duchene anyone could of written. There is some much false facts into his writing it's hard to read. And his negativity is disgusting. Even during good time and wins, he will bash the team. If you want to be skip Bayless go be him somewhere else.

Saw him last week with the rampage in wpg now as an avs this weekend! I think these 20 odd games will help him adjust to the nhl, so but 2017 season he will be ready and take that 3C. I would like to see him with Nieto and Sven as the 3Rd line next year. Sakic said Sven would get a shot with duchene.

I'm all for Greer coming up, but IMO he's not ready. I think the ahl for the full year, then see if he can get a spot next year. He's close, he better than he was in the beginning of the year but he needs consistency in his game. Learn to play 110 all the time not 70% of the time. If mikko took a full year. Greer will too. No need to rush him. Maybe bring up for a stint but not a permanent promotion.

Duncan yes. Nothing to lose now. It's time. He's healthy, been healthy. It's time to see what we have. I would like to see us resign him and for him to push for the 5/6 role next year. We are adding 2 new d guys in meloche and butcher next year. Time to move Duncan up or out. And out for nothing would be a failure

From San Antonio... Duncan and bigras would be nice. Get Duncan at least practicing with the big club for a week just to see. Bigras second choice on d. Again see were he is at. He didn't look bad or great. Steady. Cody g we can waive. Forward... depends what you want to see. Girardi would be a neat call up. Same with g Bourque. But with that you have to bench players. Soderberg I think k we should keep up ( I don't like saying) but see if he gets going. If he does, protect him then trade him IMO. Maybe we could bench Mitchel. We know he not going to be here next year. Maybe sit r Bourque. Defense I think is easier to handle. Sit weirco waive Cody g and insert bigras and later Duncan. So our d pairs could be ej-bigras, tb4-barbs, beau-Duncan

With the forward they need two things to happen. 1) get Mackinnon and duchene going. That's #1 on Sakic list for summer. Mackinnon has 12 goals... not enough. Duchene I don't expect to be here by the draft but increase his value. 2) get compher and blank (Sven, Comeau, nieto or grigs) to develop something. Maybe a rocco call up? But get him someone to help him and his step into the 3c for next year isn't as worry some.

Please note Imy on board with trading 92 as well. They tried him and 9 didn't work. Him and 29 isn't working as well either. His great game one in 10 games isn't good enough. I think if this is going to be 29s team we need to move on from 92 as well. And yes that means 2017 will be rough as well. But getting at top 5 pick next year will be worth it!

Oh I thought Bigras was injured. But there is no need to rush him plus I'd rather see what Siemens can do. What about Mason Geertsen? It'll be nice to get rid of a bunch of dead weight this summer. Hopefully there's a Beauchemin Buy out coming too!

I agree that Landeskog hasn't worked out with either 9 or 29. I'd rather keep Duchene but he would get a much bigger return than Gabe. You think they both get traded? I think we'll be able to judge Sakic and Bednar next season but since the Roy experiment has ended, I think Sakic has done a good job of handling the storm.

Friedman had a good little rant up about the Avs today, he was saying how this goes deeper, and its before the Roy and Sakic Era, the Avs org is fundamentally flawed. If he would realize its a Kroenke asset, of course its flawed. Its turning him a profit regardless of the one ice results, so probably will continue to be this way for a long time

I've been thinking much the same since about last December or so. There have been too many years of bad drafting, bad signings, and poor results since the early 2000's. Four years of Sacco? Multiple basement bottom seasons from which the high draft picks don't end up resulting in long-term results. That sort of thing.

Then I looked back and realized that the only reason Colorado was so good was they could afford to pay someone like Rob Blake $15m a season. I think Sakic was getting similar money, especially after the Rangers issue, and assume Roy and Forsberg were too, and they were worth it at the time (players got paid much more pre-Cap), but the gist of it is that Colorado won not necessarily because they had a good organization, but because they were able to buy the right team to win...something you can't do with a Cap. I also saw how much Colorado mortgaged their future during those years with the draft picks and such given up to get players like Blake. They had some good drafts in the late 90's, picking up players like Drury, Hejduk and Tanguay, but once Colorado went in on Blake et al there was a big hole that they never got out of thereafter. And now, 15+ years later, we're still seeing the blow-back from it.
