With so many of us wanting different player it should be quite the show around here on draft day.

no doubt...I'm all in on Nico. Ok with Patrick and Mittle. Not ok with Rasmussen or Lilgren

It's Nico or bust I say. Patrick maxes out as a second line centre.....the rest, well, meh......

I will be good with that. I usually defer to the pro's., but may have a preference for someone else. I will not go on ad nauseum about why or why not Benning should've(not should of)taken. That stuff should be done over with the weiners over at CA, we should hold a much higher standard here, to show respect to our excellent blogger Carol.

I agree. Nico definitely appears to have the highest ceiling

Entire top end if the draft isn't really elite, but I still think both Nico and Patrick have top line ceilings, how likely they are to max out on those ceilings is another story.

Hischler probably is a bit more skilled than Patrick, but it's hard to project seeing as both haven't played all that much this year. Patrick definitely is more well-rounded than Nico though, so if we get 1OA I'd lean towards Patrick more than I would Nico, but honestly there's no wrong choice in picking either of them first. I feel like it's more of a year like when scouts were debating on Hall vs Seguin going 1OA.

There's some more extended highlight videos available that show all plays, not just goals/assists, both good and bad.

Nico Hischier looked very good at the WJC and also played well in top prospects game, although the top prospects game is a Meh type game, last year PLD and Patrice Labarge were the 2 best players.
I do appreciate Hischier and his skill level, but am concerned that he is a boom or bust type of pick. Unlike a Patrick, Vilardi,Mittlestadt Rasmussen Tippett etc, if Hischier can not be a top 6 players he won't be a bottom 6 player. I am not sure Benning can afford the risk, he needs to get a for sure safe bet. If the ceiling is 2nd Line Centre, with whoever else he picks , then we go with Bo and the new pick moving forward.

I was. Our vets suck. At least I'm not narrow minded and continually put down European players

I am a supporter of Jannik Hansen, like Lind Holm in Carolina, I think Juuso Volimaki is the best defenseman in the draft, he plays for Tri-City, a team I have paid close attention to & would love to have him on our team, just not where the pick will be.
I have liked and followed Tryamkin since he was selected, liked Sbisa even back in his Flyers days, Jyrki Lumme is my all time favourite Canuck defenseman, followed by Ohlund. Also thought Sundin was a heck of a good player. I did not like Gretzky, Messier, Coffey or Bourque but Yzerman and Sakic I was a huge fan of both.
I will not go Gaga over flashy shiny things like some others tend to do.
