Fair enough..... I googled an EK blog about an e4 to NYI involving the Sedins. Had to change the key words a few times but it did not take long to find.

Jesus that is hard to watch.
His lack of hockey sense/I.Q is insane.
He needs to be demoted to the ECHL to 'gain some confidence'. - Whiskey-Tango
On the defensive side, all he does is wave his stick in the direction of the guy with the puck. Even worse, he is exiting the zone before a teammate even has full control of the puck. I can see why now he doesn't have very many goals but has a large amount of shots. They aren't very dangerous. I hope that is just a bad game. |

Its nice when your budding power forward of the future refuses to answer the call and turtles like a Lil female dogin...pretty obvious why he's staying in Utica - Bullfrog77
Budding power forward doesn't mean fighter. I don't expect Rick Nash or Jamie Benn to fight either. |

He has the effort level of someone at a public skate. |

In all honesty, it looks as though he has regressed from last year... |

I am willing to give him a little space on this one. When he was grabbed he went of balance right away and looked to be on the way down. It happens.
Maybe he could have answered the bell the following shift through...
Maybe he saw the scoreboard and did not want a penalty....
Maybe he was injured...
Time of month? |

Jake is a kick in the nuts for sure to the Canucks but the lucky thing is if you miss the bus another one will be there in five minutes.

I doubt he actually planned to finish bottom 3. Two words:
Loui Eriksson
Also I hope they give these young guys some AHL time if they're not ready for the NHL instead of having another Virtanen/McCann situation. - Nucker101
I'm not gonna put a bottom 3 finish on LE as there are so many other factors at play this year. I'm willing to give LE the benefit of one more year to pick it up and I believe he will.
No, Benning had no intention of finishing bottom 3 just how things worked out. But Benning will manipulate the lineup to insure we get a good pick…solid tank policy.
Agree that time is needed in AHL for proper development but there will be cases (Boeser) that may be able to get into an NHL lineup card earlier. As much as I agree that Virt and McCann needed to be in the AHL their attitudes were also a major factor in the developmental process that stalled them.

While looking through the archives in 2015 I found a Lefty quote saying Benning is doing a good job. Oh how things have changed.

I don't think he's pinning the bottom finish on LE, just saying that you wouldn't hand out that kind of deal if you think you're near the bottom of the league.
As for Virt and McCann, i'd say half the reason for the attitudes is the entitlement that follows being handed a roster spot at their age. |
