TB and Ottawa were trying to sign this guy I think they intend to use him 4 th line here
http://www.hockeydb.com/i...s/pdisplay.php?pid=175199
Good numbers - VANTEL
We'll need a guy to protect all our new small skilled prospects.... this guy looks like he fits the bill. Funny timing that we sign an Enforcer out of the Q the day Carol does a special on Gino! Hopefully this guy is 1/10th of the player Gino was.
awesome news about Gino! here's to a full recovery!!! |

Overage Jr's i don't get excited over.
The 4th line to me is a revolving door opportunity.
He makes it great but being effective is a wait n see. |

I think he wants a tougher fourth line . I think the last big hit Canucks had was maybe three years ago (joking ) and he wants to be harder to play against .

It seems ages ago when Virtanen creamed McDavid at the prospects tournament. Too bad he can't seem to bring that edge every game. |

He cannot run around looking for hits.
Taking yourself outta the play won't go over well.
He picks his spots while playing smarter & works harder. |

You can't come to camp looking like the Michelin Man and expect to be quick enough to catch anyone with a hit.

Remember at the start of the season when every single Canucks fan was slandering the guys who predicted a 65 point season?!!
Well, go look up our schedule. It's horrendous. We are going to end up with not that much more than 65. And, we aren't going to pass 65 until probably the last week of the season. - stringerbell
the schedule is always an issue, there here there there, back for a few days then gone again for 6 in 11 days then back for 3 in 4 then 5 days off then 3 in 4 and on and on. Theres no reason for it, its a franking joke, I can guarantee every one of them are dealing with nagging injuries some all year like tanev. |

My personal list of team needs in order next draft.
Using todays standings for draft position.
NOTE: 1st lottery is for 3OA then 2OA & finally 1OA. Odds increase each lottery
17.9%........AV's - top 2D, scoring wingers, goalie
12.1%........Yotes - top 2D, 1C, goalie
10.3%........LVGK - star power BPA
10.3%........Canucks - 1C, scoring top D
8.5%..........Stars - top 2 D, goalie
7.6%..........Jets - idk..they r loaded on prospects..goalie but not 1st rd
6.7%..........Wings - everything almost
5.8%..........Devils - 1C, scoring RW
5.4%..........Canes - 1C, scoring help on the wings
4.5%..........Sabres - shutdown top 2D, LW
89.1% total
Those represent the 10 top teams likely preferences as it seems to me
Agree or disagree is fine but who might get picked or slides who knows but in the mid 1st round D starts to dominate. Top 4 or higher potential. From there on i've no interest on who or what happens if we r not in it. By that i mean who can we trade maybe Tanev to if it makes sense assuming its more than just a pick(s)? |

He has 27 goals this year . He is not a one trick pony.
We know he is not too skilled but he battles in front of the net. I bet he is along the line of Cramarossa. No one is too excited but we do welcome players that will battle back |

I agree, and he needs to learn to just lean on someone to gain possession not just to go out and cream someone. |
