Skill & speed is more important

Overage Jr's i don't get excited over.
The 4th line to me is a revolving door opportunity.
He makes it great but being effective is a wait n see.

I dont think benning is the type to ignore that part of the game.

I think were at 47 contracts now. Plus need to sign Dahlen, Nolan Patrick and hopefully add a college player.

We are going to get close to that 50 mark pretty quick.

We have 47 contracts now. If we sign Boeser and Guadette this year that only leaves one more spot for a CHL or College free agent..... hopefully one of Aston-Reese, Vecchione, or Brickley

As much as I think its important to still shelter the young D, Tanev needs to go before his NTC. Gillis tried to move Edler before his kicked in and now he wont waive, clear the logjam of long term contracts ahead of Stecher, Hutton, Tryamkin, Juolevi while you can because youre building for the future. Tanev will be on the wrong side of 30 and heavily broken down by the time the team wants to compete again

I like the add. Exactly what we lack, we only have Labate who plays a similar role. Id really like to try and find a Lucic or Tom Wilson type in one of the next couple drafts.

If you can trade Edler then maybe move him but if Edler is staying yeah move Tanev before NTC

TL said they would be looking for stop-gap type UFA's, clear out Tanev and Edler and bring in a Trevor Daley or Brian Campbell (or another elder D in trade return) to help reduce the workload on the kids but make sure in 2 years they are positioned to be paid and played appropriately
