we need lots of these type of players even if hes a career minor leaguer he could help the ahl team and its important to have a winning ahl team. - Bettmanhatesus
Even if he doesn't work out the fact that they are at least looking for that type of player is a good sign .
Eventually one or two will stick |

Perfect 3rd liner, should add the much needed grit to the Sedin line. - Reubenkincade
If they are still here
Tanevs NTC kicks in July first . After that we are stuck with him a long time |

Overage Jr's i don't get excited over.
The 4th line to me is a revolving door opportunity.
He makes it great but being effective is a wait n see. - Nighthawk
The overage guys make it tough to get excited about. Free player who fits a need so I think its worth the contract space. Hopefully we can add a few more guys like this over the next couple years and maybe we get lucky and have one that sticks.
Now lets get some college guys signed |

I dont think benning is the type to ignore that part of the game. |

Anyone know what utica guys come off the books this season?
I think were at 47 contracts now. Plus need to sign Dahlen, Nolan Patrick and hopefully add a college player.
We are going to get close to that 50 mark pretty quick. |

We have 47 contracts now. If we sign Boeser and Guadette this year that only leaves one more spot for a CHL or College free agent..... hopefully one of Aston-Reese, Vecchione, or Brickley |

As much as I think its important to still shelter the young D, Tanev needs to go before his NTC. Gillis tried to move Edler before his kicked in and now he wont waive, clear the logjam of long term contracts ahead of Stecher, Hutton, Tryamkin, Juolevi while you can because youre building for the future. Tanev will be on the wrong side of 30 and heavily broken down by the time the team wants to compete again |

I like the add. Exactly what we lack, we only have Labate who plays a similar role. Id really like to try and find a Lucic or Tom Wilson type in one of the next couple drafts. |

I think Grenier is a free agent. Guys like that dont need NHL deals. If they sign him hopefully its to an AHL deal. |

If you can trade Edler then maybe move him but if Edler is staying yeah move Tanev before NTC

TL said they would be looking for stop-gap type UFA's, clear out Tanev and Edler and bring in a Trevor Daley or Brian Campbell (or another elder D in trade return) to help reduce the workload on the kids but make sure in 2 years they are positioned to be paid and played appropriately |
