This is accurate. I Think we keep Gionta, let him retire in Buffalo. I still think its worth dangling Reinhart for a top 3 D see if anyone bites.

Sounds like a comment from 2008-2012 as well.

This Sabres team with so called quality veteran leadership in the form of:
Gionta
Moulson
Gorges
ROR
Okposo
has on hell of a time keeping their composure in stressful situation.
In fact they wilt under pressure, and have been called fragile.

It begs the question of why they are here in the first place, not to mention being paid very handsomely for it.

It also shows poorly on the core players going forward and does not bode well for pressure packed playoff series. They have failed in nearly every critical game this year.

There is much work remaining to be done above just getting a LW sniper and LhD.

GMTM was told to go after the best available players in the market. There was not much out there so he orchestrated the ROR deal, Kane deal, Lehner deal and Okposo was the best available free agent last year after Stamkos re-upped with Tampa.
As far as chemistry goes that's Bylsmas job. GMTM's job is to get em to Buffalo.

2 will be gone and GMTM needs to move the other 2 out and get 4 NHL D-Men who can move the puck. IF we can get 4 brand new d-men back there, we may finally turn the corner.
