That's doable for a year or so. The tricky part comes when you have to re-sign all of your depth players.

The thing about teams like the Pens and Hawks is that they proved they could win with that core.

We have 0 clue we can yet.

Those cores on Chicago and Pitts. bring it and produce ..... EVERY NIGHT. Because of that .. everyone else on those teams are just plug and play..... and most importantly not really all that important or worth much.

I'd be okay with having that much dedicated to the "core" if we have the success the Pens/Hawks have.

There need to be a lot of complimentary pieces to make it work, and we are definitely not quite there.

I honestly don't see what you guys are seeing with this "parking the bus" notion.

I am not a big Bylsma guy. But did anyone think we were going to hang 63 shots on Pittsburgh? That was our pace after 1 period.

Not one period did we play under a pace of 30 shots, which is above average.

I don't know what Kane knows about the game plan, so maybe he's right
