what did he say here that was so bad. That a great season is going to waste? its factually accurate. They are in fact wasting a terrific sophomore year from Jack.
- Sabresfan-365

Not sure as I won't read it because he's a tool.

Look ...... the team isn't there yet ....... in fact it's about 1/2 there. Jack is going to get way better going forward. This is making it sound like he's having the best year of his career and the window to win the Cup was THIS year ....... and the Sabres blew it.

Reid Duke has signed an entry-level contract with the Vegas Golden Knights.
The free agent forward from the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings has agreed to a three-year entry-level contract with Vegas, which marks the first player transaction in the team's history. The former draft pick of the Minnesota Wild has 35 goals and 32 assists in 54 games this season.

Interesting. I wonder how many more players they will sign like this. I'm guessing a bulk of their AHL roster will have to be from situations like this.

I honestly don't see what you guys are seeing with this "parking the bus" notion.

I am not a big Bylsma guy. But did anyone think we were going to hang 63 shots on Pittsburgh? That was our pace after 1 period.

Not one period did we play under a pace of 30 shots, which is above average.

I don't know what Kane knows about the game plan, so maybe he's right

- sbroads24

I'm not taking this from anything anybody on this thread has said - but when two of the guys on the ice both say that they stopped attacking, I have to assume they stopped attacking.

Also - I'm not even clear that it happens at Bylsma's prompting. It may just be the way the team is playing.

There is obviously a disconnect somewhere. But I don't think yesterday fits as an example of not attacking.

We had a BS call on the high stick goal IMO, then a brain fart from 23 on the game winner. Could also argue the call on Kane was a total dive by Streit

I don't play poker very often, but I know that it is smart to lose occasionally. You want to get caught bluffing every now and again so that people know you try it,. Then, in really strong hands when you aren't bluffing, people might think you are and stay in the hand.

I wonder if an occasional loss on a lowball offer is like that. Better to say, "I'm sticking to my guns and not taking that offer" than to say "No, unless I can't find anything better." Maybe you lose this trade, but in the long term you're better off.

- Der Kaiser

This what I said on deadline day, you just said it fancier.

Now go and get rid of all the defensive players that won't fit in McDermotts system, I don't care who the players are.

I really wish Paul Hamilton would simply ask this point blank to Bylsma: "Do you tell your players to stop attacking once they get a lead or is this something the players do on their own?"

I'm sick of this speculating as I'm certain most are.

I doubt he'd say anything other than an emphatic no.

The Sabres had a chance with the PP to score their 4th goal, and couldn't.

I'm sure you're right because I'm positive he isn't telling them to "park the bus".

I doubt it either. I'm also sure it's more complicated than that.

I mean, does he get 0 credit for getting his team to jump out to the 3-0 lead on the reigning champs with 21 shots in the 1st?

I hated losing that game, but that was one of the best games they played all year. Fast, taking a ton of shots, physical.

I think it's on the players ... certain players and I'm thinking some of his line shakeups are a direct attempt to fix this problem.

People think he's crazy to keep tinkering with the lines but I don't think so. I think he's just trying to find a recipe for consistency over 60 minutes.

Tyrod news, make of it what you want. Probably not much to it, but you can decide:

The best way to develop consistency is through a lot of change.

Got it.

Try this :
2 oz. Elijah Craig Bourbon
1 oz. Carpano Antica Vermouth
2-dashes Angostura Bitters
(2) Luxardo Maraschino Cherries

Add cherries to martini glass ... mix all ingrediants plus one drop of cherry syrup with ice.

Enjoy !

I believe teams can make trades after the deadline but the players acquired will not be eligible for the playoffs.

I think they're usually minor-league swaps like this and happen more often than we think. Just a matter of reporting it to media or not I guess.

I missed a few days on here, you still on that not watching a game until next year grind? Actually curious.

I haven't seen a game since the Coyotes loss, not necessarily for any reason but just kinda low interest at the moment
