I missed a few days on here, you still on that not watching a game until next year grind? Actually curious.

I haven't seen a game since the Coyotes loss, not necessarily for any reason but just kinda low interest at the moment

- chilliard77

Yeah, I'm not invested in watching them at this point, I'll stand by that. If I had any glimmer of hope for them making the playoffs this season, that's pretty much gone now and I didn't suffer through the last 3 games or so.

If they somehow make it, I'll eat my words but it's not gonna happen.

Sabres 4% to pick first and 3.6% to make playoffs. #thelife

This sums it up for me

Might be right considering the way they have been playing . They were to play like last nights 1st period , they could win out

Estephan has passed Pu in the point totals.

Estephan- 30g 50a 80pts
Pu- 34g 45a 79 pts

Pu has played in 6 less games than Estephan but not bad for a 6th rd pick.

- mhp

Estephan is a prospect who should get more attention, he may be in a Sabres jersey before anyone realizes.

Agreed. Most of the prospect talk is about Guhle, Nylander, Petersen and Pu. Probably no one talks about Estephan is because he was a 6th rd pick. I would think he will sign his ELC soon. His progression in Juniors is being noticed. He went from 51 points (23-28) in 14/15 to 74 (30-44) in 15/16 to his 80 point season thus far this year.

Me thinks Gerbe is the only one shining the light on Nylander. He seems to need another year in Roch. I'm sure Estephan and Pu will both see there share in roch just to get acclimated to the speed of the game. Hopefully by then the Amerks are a bit (ok A lot) better than they have been.

Agreed. I put him right up with the rest of our top prospects. He's playing at a level in juniors that would have him in the 1st round if drafted this year. I know there's confidence growth being a bit older and physical maturity that plays a factor, but his upward trajectory is off the charts. I only hope it continues next year in Rochester.

Like in our whole system, defense will be an issue in Rochester next year. But, even if Bailey, Bap, and Carrier stay with the Sabres, offensively I think Rochester will still improve next year. Pu, Aspund, Estephan, and Peterson will all have a big help there. And, I still like what I'm seeing out of Karabacek, even if everyone else has written him off, there is something there with this guy.

Nylander is young and his game is not suited for the AHL. He needs to build his strength. He might not be ready next year but the following year he should be good to go.

Estephan actually played 6 games for the Amerks last year getting a goal. This kid has good upside.

Only thing with him is he is Cody Hodgson slow. Not sure he will come close to an NHL'er (yet)

You think he's slow? That's the first I've heard that about him. He has more of a smooth stride and slippery in the offensive zone to create his chances. I would like to see how he develops in Rochester.

Definitely. I think it's a big reason he didn't get drafted until he did (If I remember right)

He's like Hodgson, smallish for a center, and isn't that fast.

Still...He's putting up good numbers

I'm 100% behind firing the coach but this team looks disinterested. We need that fixed ASAP and to me, that's more on the coach. The players themselves don't seem to know who to look to and it's clear that isn't Gionta and for whatever reason, it's not Jack.

It's too bad our future captain Zemgus Girgensons couldn't step up and take command of the room.

I think GMTM might have had some of the questions answered regarding the Coach and the system during the last meeting he had last week. Up to him to determine who is fault , who needs to go , who needs and can step up .

Try this :
2 oz. Elijah Craig Bourbon
1 oz. Carpano Antica Vermouth
2-dashes Angostura Bitters
(2) Luxardo Maraschino Cherries

Add cherries to martini glass ... mix all ingrediants plus one drop of cherry syrup with ice.

Enjoy !
