I have been consistant in saying the Sabres will be a force in a few years...longer than you would like, but they will be a top team, along with Edmonton and Toronto and Calgary.

I have also been consistent in saying your rebuild took a bit of a detour when GMTM tried to speed it up.

You might not like my verbiage , and yes, Buffalo is currently one of the worst teams in the league, but I have certainly been as consistent as I claim.

That still rings kind of hollow. There's definitely a group of teams below them as the "worst". The talent/level of play gap between the true worst teams in the league in Arizona and Colorado and Detroit, Buffalo, Carolina, New Jersey, Philly, Winnipeg, Dallas, and Vancouver is more of a gulf than a gap, and the fact that 8 teams all have roughly the same points percentage. It's not even close. I'm not saying Buffalo et al. are good, but I am saying they're not "among the worst".

Man alive, you can add Jabril Peppers and Budda Baker to the list of players I'd like to see the Bills draft. And dare I say it? Obi Melifonwu. Well maybe not Obi at 10, but trade back candidate. Here's my big board for the Bills pick (at 10):

1. Marcus Peters Jr., aka Sidney Jones, CB
2. Peppers, Monster back
3. lil Julio, aka Corey Davis, WR
4. John Ross, WR
5. Budda Baker, S

I didn't put Jamal Adams in there's cause don't think he'll be there, but would be a coin flip for me between Peters Jr. and Adams. If Bills stray away from QB round 1, they should be able to get a day one starter who I'll say has potential to be at least 2nd team all pro. And Ragland and Lawson will hopefully be ready to roll.

I'm just illustrating that it's an odd year where there's a massive gap from the bottom team to the middle, non-playoff teams. It's even difficult to categorize the Sabres this year. In some areas they're really good. SV%, PP, SC for, and in others really bad, GA, PK, Shoot outs, Corsi, and most others somewhere in the middle. Just a weird year.

I don't think tanking is the answer, but the rebuild would benefit with a top 5 pick...but even that seems unlikely with LV in the picture...unless you get some of that sweet lotto luck Edmonton had.
