I like OJ(he was my 2nd choice after you know who). But realisticallyI really think he's going to be more of a Hamhuis/Paul Martin all-around dman with good hockey sense and a good first pass out of the zone, can play all situations, etc.(assuming he reaches his potential). I've watched a handful of his games on Sportsnet with London this year and all the Finland WJHC games, and that's really what his play style looks like.

No, it has more to do with many more players are NHL level talent.

Cap management can be handled with picking up a guy cheap in free agency. In the past maybe 10-20 players were NHL quality in the draft and now it is closer to 50

They approved the contracts and then penalized them and that is total BS

I'm not partial to him because he is a BC boy. I watch him in the W and he is a strong center. He has hands can finish and NHL speed. I think he is one of the few in the top ten that is ready to hit the ice in the NHL next season.

Edit: Also if I am going for a D I go for that Valimaki kid, he plays for Try city also. 2nd best in the draft imo.

I maintain that the Sedin's play hard minutes against tough competition, which in a way insulates and allows the Bo's and Sven's to get their points.

That's not to say that in 2 years, Bo won't be ready to take that role/responsibility, but last year showed that he was not ready for that workload.

Which is fine, he still has strong defensive positioning. His hockey IQ is through the roof the few games i have watched play. He definitely needs better players around him, as i see lesser quality ones miss his great passes, etc.

We could also drop a D if we took Lil. Lil and OJ could give us a solid top 2 for 10-15 years. I think this is a BPA type draft. If Lil is BPA take him, if Vilardi or Mittle are BPA take them.
