Yes 21 is venerable indeed.
I think Botchford has it right.
Play the youths til they drop...
Then troll all the female dogys with his new ammo...
Anyone thinking the NHL is about tryouts is a female dogford.
Only been 2 games since JB went into rebuild mode.
Relax & give it some time.
WD's ass is on the line & if JB sees him as not buying in then he will be gone. - Nighthawk
21 years old has almost 2 full years in the AHL. I'm not saying play strictly youth. Just give them a chance more then 6 minutes a game. A regular shift on a line that can help them. Maybe during the 3rd period shorten the bench.
Boucher was given PP time and 18 minutes and he rewarded Willie with a goal. So he got another game of 8 minutes and back to the press box. For a team so in need of scoring, yet Megna gets 14 minutes a game and has 7 points and has PP time. |

A team that contributes from top to bottom, star player at the top or not. - manvanfan
That's what's shaping up. Maybe a Wild or Jackets type team though game breakers are needed. |

Just tuned in.
Great pace it appears for a b2b.
The kids are alright!
What? Too soon?
Edit: I see Goldy had some PP time with teh Sedin's.
Are the crybaby's soothed now ? or is WD still the worst - dbot
Goldy made some great plays with the Sedins so far, I hope they keep increasing his ice time.
Granlund keeps showing more and more skill each game, it's really something to get excited about.
Hutton is looking surpringly good tonight, especially when he jumps into the play.
Sutters backcheckung is hopefully something the kids can learn from, I notice Horvat continues to improve in that area of his game as well.
Bachman playing his a$$ off - Bernier is brutal on the other hand.
Anaheim is gonna be phawked in a few years once Perry, Gets, Keslers age and contracts catch up with them.

What do you like about Willie? List 5 things he does well - CanuckDon
-sweet mustache.
-social worker (like myself).
-seems like a nice dude.
-players want to play for him and have not given up through some hard times.
-he gives players a shot and doesn't mix and match lines every other shift (which we used to complain about with other coaches), aka loyal.
edit. oh. i didn't actually read your question...those are 5 things i like about Willie.
5 things he does 'real well'.
-Gets the team to buy in.
-Creates an atmosphere that allows the youngins to grow/develop.
-Doesn't put the kids in the deep end to sink/swim.
-Doesn't throw players under the bus (See Carolina and Lack).
-trims that stache, real well.

I like watching the canucks more now after the deadline. Seeing the new guys plus, Hutton, Granlund, Bo, Baertschi, and trauma makes the team more interesting. |

Goldy is getting me cautiously hyped.
I noticed Horvat flying out there, great zone entry with speed.
The whole team seems to be in sync tonight (which is refreshing to see).

And refuse to give credit where credit is due (like putting Goldy on the PP which some were clamoring for earlier).
Which is just as shortsighted as refusing to give JB credit for the good he has done. - dbot
It's the same as always putting the Sedin's out first PP. Team is 28th in the league, it's not working, so why has it taken 60 games to change that? It shouldn't. He is a players coach, he caters to them. |

i was thinking that Gudbranson probably suffered from Huttons play as well - onesmallleap
guddy was playing with a wrist problem from early on in the season, he tried to play through it but it was getting worse so he opted for surgery. |

It's also the fact that the TDL has passed, less pressure (no one expects them to win) and playing for the future.
Agreed, much better hockey to watch. |

Would need a couple more high end players, I said before that for this team to win they need to replace the twins with 2 players of the same caliber what they were. Speaking 70-80 point players. |

They'll trade them to some team needing to reach the floor or that has cap space... |

AV was a good coach, not great. He was canned to try and jump start the team......that worked out well. We haven't had a better coach since. |
