Yeah, AV wouldn't be my choice to work with a younger roster either, but WD isn't that guy either.

Fine but c'mon who is?
I've no patience with firing without a replacement already in mind.

Hey man. I don't actually have any love for willie (beyond the stache). I'm just saying he doesn't deserve all the blame for the season.
- dbot

100%. We are bad because of the players. But Willie isn't a good coach in my opinion

WD just coached a young team to victories in CA on back to back nights. Probably not the best time to female dog about him.

Well if Bo and Sven turn into that then it's a bonus. Not sure if this draft has one for us. Goldy and Dhalen supposed to be close. Then there is BB and Granlund. Not counting out Rodin yet. Though with what I see the team is full of small forwards. Why JV is important. Need to draft more size too.

Possible post Sedi forwards

Sven Bo LE
Granlund Sutter BB
Goldy Dahlen JV
Guance/Rodin Gaudette Labate//Boucher

That's still a small group. Skilled but not sure if enough high end. Need centers with size. What else?

- Nuck4U

I would agree fully with everything you're saying here. That is probably why JB used a contract on that Zack McEwen. Even if Sven and Bo become 60 point plus players, Van still needs 2 more forwards of equal caliber to them.

Ana- Getzlaf, Perry, Kesler, Silverberg
Chi- Kane, Toews, Panarin, Hossa
Pit- Crosby, Malkin, Kessel, Hornqvist
Sj- Pavelski, Couture, Thornton, Marleau
Tb- Stamkos, Kucherov, Johnson, Drouin
wsh- Ovi, Backstrom, Oshie, Kusnetsov

Probably the best teams over the past decade almost. You could probably add names to some of those teams.

I agree but geez there is always a budget team out there to burn money😜
Gotta hit that cap basement & do teams favours & lose like no tomorrow.

Taking on that salary, and the picks and prospects that'll come with it...

IMO I don't think JB and WD are on the same page. In the press conference after the 2 trades this past week were done WD didn't sound all that happy with the direction we are going.

Wasn't saying that. Van needed a different direction, it was time for AV to go. But I will say AV was quicker to change things up if they weren't working.
- Kaynine

he'd at least learn from repeated mistakes. Willie doesnt seem capable of that

Slick Willie isn't the guy in charge, so doesn't matter. At least it's not like A/V who pushed for trading grabner instead of his pet Raymond

Gerard Gallant lead Florida to a div title with a young team.
Kevin Dineen, 3 year asst in Chicago, was previous coach of Florida.
Darryl Sydor asst since 2011 in Minnesota.
Not a lot of experience from any of them but more in the NHL then Willie.

Unfortunately one of those teams has 3 cups. Only one team can win a cup every year eh....
3 of those teams have cups btw. Anaheim has won a cup, it was in 2007.
