I agree. It really sucked last year for Washington to be out so early when they had to face PITT, but its just a dangerous game to try and pick your position by losing. Most teams are confident they can handle their opposition but NYR is a team I definitely consider fragile

Yeah, King Henrik sure has declined these past few years, if they do pass Columbus, Pittsburg is going to run them out on a rail in the first round and even if they don't, as WC1 they'd have to face Price who while nowhere near as good as he was last year still is the best goalie in the world. That's a really sucky place to be in the East. I could see the 4 top teams in the Metro having a legit shot at winning it all (it just sucks that they'll all eliminate themselves before whoever wins the Metro plays for the Eastern Final.

Agreed, the other division is junk and unfortunately even if Tampa or FLA can succeed in catching up to make the playoffs, they are likely in the wild card spot which will be no easy task
