ya he coached the farm team.
I guess the way to tell how willie is is to put him on another nhl team and see how he does.
I really dont see another nhl team hiring him tho - SMBDragon
I'm sure Willie would be able to not win Stanley Cups other cities just like AV. (frank) AV. |

If I remember correctly, AV went from coaching junior, to the NHL, then to the AHL,,, then returned to the NHL.
I think AV had instant sucess then struggled for two seasons before being fired by the Habs. Sounds very siliar to whats unfolding for JB as the Canuck's coach. I wouldn't be surprised at all if after a stint back in the AHL after he's let go here... he returns and coaches a better team than this and his career takes a simliar path as AV. In fact, it's seems rather typical to be honest. |

Morning everyone, I just went through and deleted about 50 posts from last nights fun, wow 2 wins in a row and people are at each others throats.
I guess this is where I let everyone know that enough is enough, next time instead of deleting I'll bring out the ban hammer.
Hope everyone has a great day... |

I know Goldobin has only played 2 games but he looked decent on Bo's line . WD may want to explore that a bit more . He also looked good with the twins.
On a side note this in house fighting is stupid and annoying . Get a room |

We are now sitting at the predicted 63 points with 17 games remaining. |

So looks like LE is out for a bit just when he finally was playing with Bo. Too bad. Would have been a good development for remaining games. His season just full of potholes. So we will see Boucher back on the fourth line.
I guess Goldy gets the nod with Bo and Sven. Might be like what they wanted for Rodin. Though Goldy has more speed so we shall see what entertainment lays ahead.
Playing questionable goalies helps for these wins. It will be a challenge plus next game if Habs use Price. |

Yeah was that EA sports simulation?!? The talk seems to be that with the schedule that maybe only 5 wins can be had with what's left. So 10 more points at 73 will be 8 better then ESPN prediction. |

Bo, Sven and Goldy is an exciting amount of skill (for this team) for one line - I'm looking forward to the Habs game already.
I noticed goldy make a couple of excellent passes last night, kid got some vision.
Anyone know when Tram might be back?

Vision and speed . I think in about twenty games or so when he feels comfortable we will have a better insight . He looks like he is afraid to make a mistake. |

Thanks Makita, you have a good day as well!
I just want to say, and I'm speaking for myself, that I appreciate the fact that you are a very tolerable Ref with warnings and not bans. I know it would probably be easier for you to starting tossing ppl out of here.
I am a fairly new poster but long reader of Carol's blog and what I have notice is that some, and not all, can not appreciate anyone else's opinion. If they agree it's thumbs up, but if they disagree it's your "stupid" or your "franked". I can see why the gents that have been posting here for a long time get frustrated. This forum would be a lot better if posters didn't kick sand if other posters faces just for having a different view.
Just my opinion. |

For sure - he definitely looks tentative sometimes out there but that's to be expected, he almost got caught for two many men his first shift! Poor kid mustve been terrified.
I think he's the real deal tho - putting him with the Sedins on the PP might work but not on their regular line, Granlund is surprisingly working out really well with them. He's not a true grinder, but he gets down low and helps create turnovers on the fore-check and then he can get open while the twins cycle. |

he plays a little similar to the way Drouin plays from what i've seen so far.
i liked him with Bo and Sven, but the slot on the PP is a mis-use of his skillset i think |

Swagger, confidence and work ethic is a funny combination. Apply too much pressure on a young guy he chokes up or is too concerned about what will please the coach. Not enough of a leash he may develop bad habits and not know how to work every second of every shift. It's a fine balance.
As a fan I just crave for some entertainment now. So would like to see more leeway with experimenting and allowing mistakes. |

I think Granlund is very much a product of who you play him with. A good middle six forward for sure but you can get more production (goals) from him if you put him with someone who can dish the puck. |

Exactly, this year has been pretty stressful/frustrating, but once the TDL and elimination from the playoffs, watching the games has been a little more enjoyable. Now, its about swallowing our fate and trying to find bright spots within the youth.

Yeah guess so isn't that what he is getting with the Sedins. Playing with Sutter he tended to try to set him up more. That's when he could shoot, prior to recent hand injury, and got some goals. |

His brother is 2 years older and in his 4th full season and really starting to hit his stride now - I wonder if Marcus in 2 years will he be putting up similar numbers?
This is essentially Markus's 1st year of consistent play so its not completely out of the question.

He reminds me a little of Hansen, but a more skilled/less gritty/little slower version. I like that he isnt afraid and seems willing to take the role needed on each line, a good compliment player |

Goldobin has looked decent, but the real test will be in April during the playoffs. We will likely face the Hawks again and that intensity will bring out the best, or worst in a player. Looking forward to playoff hockey again. |
