People were complaining about the use of Burrows for most of the year (and all of last season), and he leaves and Boucher is quick to comment on how well he does the little things right. I have to think its the same thing here, the vets do the little things right while WD is still working on video with the young guys.

Goldy is a good example, sure he has 1 goal of production in 6 minutes, but that was a high risk play that could've been a disaster because he left the zone early. A teachable moment that a vet would not have done

The line thing I find hilarious, people criticized him for rolling 4 lines in his first year. Now he's sitting guys, benching the 4th line, etc and still gets poop on. I am not a WD fan, but the hate for him is comical

On better teams, players do this kind of thing every now and then. Most breakaways are high risk high reward. There are 5 players on the ice for a team, so when one does high risk moves, 4 people are back to defend if it fails. The only way these high risk plays are bad, is if the player doing it is lazy coming back. We don't know if goldy is yet. If he fails to get the break away and hustles back, it is no problem. If he runs to the bench or glides back in, then it is a problem. I see many players on teams jump the gun exiting and hustle back. Those types of players tend to score more than scored on during these plays.

I don't pay a lot of attn to prospects, but at first glance, Tippet seems like a JB kinda guy.

Eeli Tolvanen sure has dropped.

RW Cole Lind is sneaking up the rankings to #16.

They have Mittelstadt at #6. If that played out like that, it would be good for the Canucks.

Id much rather Lilegren or Vilardi if the canucks had the 3rd pick

i've guessed liljgren (if available), but given our depth at D, perhaps JB looks for a forward?

Vilardi looks good

According to http://www.tankathon.com/nhl

we currently have a 10% chance at 1OA and a 30% chance at top 3.

Not great, not great at all.

As I said earlier it's because of Willie. He keeps double shifting Magma

We could also drop a D if we took Lil. Lil and OJ could give us a solid top 2 for 10-15 years. I think this is a BPA type draft. If Lil is BPA take him, if Vilardi or Mittle are BPA take them.

Won't deter people from pencilling nico into our top line next year.

Even when you finish dead last you only have a 20% chance at the first overall, so in reality, that's not too bad at all.

I really want the Canucks to take this kid in the 2nd round.

http://www.eliteprospects.../player.php?player=162926

86 points in 65 games. 26g, 60a. Plays gritty and abrasive. Great on special teams... good face off guy as well...

51 pims. Drops the gloves once in a while...

Well he plays for Medicine Hat so perhaps we will take him in the top 10 looks like he could be there for Columbus's 2nd. Impressive numbers for a small gritty player

I think JB needs to look to draft a C in the first round. Need to have another prospect with high possibility of success at that position
