When I read up on Hague it reported he plays with toughness and skill. He can lead a PP and he fights
- VANTEL

Ya man, I'd rate him right after the Swede in my personal D rankings.

I don't think he's offensive enough to take that high. But I don't know much about him.

He plays first unit PP

trade him next TDL for a 2018 1st and prospect. If OJ makes the team perhaps Hutton is moved for a top 6 F. But I'd like to see how BB fits in and if he makes the team next year. We all assume he will. But u never know.

Either way it's nice to be stocking the cupboards.

Tanev has a no trade clause that kicks in July 1at.

Tanev to Tampa for a 1 st and prospect and maybe a contract
- VANTEL

I like that idea. Good thing is we can always trade Tanev or Edler next year as well. No rush. Having experience D around for the younger guys is a must.

I wonder what JB will do next. He traded for Guddy during the playoffs last year. Didn't even know u could do that!

Cool but then you took the Jake V training ritual of 5 hot dogs and a pound of bacon for breakfast route.

Mittel over Vilardi thats interesting, why you think that?
- phyllee

Mittel definitely has a higher ceiling. Vilardi is a safer pick. Vilardi is an average skater and that's being generous. We need the highest ceiling BPA in my opinion. But I would be happy with. Vilardi as well

don't we already got a couple of those?

We need a QB who can drive the offence back there.

- dbot

That was supposed to be OJ but you know Benning and all.

Tanev to Wpg for a 1st?
Reunite the brothers!

- dbot

Tanev worth a lot more than a middle pick in this draft.

Well....he might not be the guy we're lookin for I guess is what I'm sayin

Honestly I've never seen him play so I can't say for sure what his offensive game is or instincts are like. I'd need to have a look see.

I like OJ(he was my 2nd choice after you know who). But realisticallyI really think he's going to be more of a Hamhuis/Paul Martin all-around dman with good hockey sense and a good first pass out of the zone, can play all situations, etc.(assuming he reaches his potential). I've watched a handful of his games on Sportsnet with London this year and all the Finland WJHC games, and that's really what his play style looks like.

I think a less physical Ohlund is what I see, which is nice...very nice.

I know. But that's a bit different situation. I think red wing management, coaching staff, and player development system has to be given some credit for turning those players into super stars.

I would be shocked if the Canucks could produce the same results in those really late rounds. Canucks have done a great job when you consider the likes of Hansen, etc. but those red wing players are a step above the rest.

Drafting has grown a lot since then two. Back then GMs handed out seconds like candy at Halloween . In the last couple of years now because of youth development has the outlook of second round picks become more important.
- VANTEL

More to do with cap management.
Allows gm's to screw up more.
The outlook is ELC $$$'s
