Yes Sedin decline and other issues has them statistically at the bottom this season. But the rise of young players and insertion of new ones, plus a healthier D, doesn't mean they take more of a step back next season.

Are you basing next season being worse because of the Sedins? If so are you discounting what the new additions can bring to improve team?

Of course coaching, injuries, development and chemistry of new players will play a role in either a step back or forward in movement.

You don't tank by icing a sh!tty roster... You tank by doing right by your future. For example, 1st unit PP mins & offensive zone starts go to youth with offensive skill sets, not the Sedins. Situational priority to the guys who need to get their feet wet - let them sink/swim without confidence crumbling judgement as you're building a contender. Sell at the TDL & on the draft floor.

thats not tanking thats developing , and so what do you do when your youth scores and you win games? Bench them?
